Are you inspired by REAL life flowers? How about the colours? Today I have a FUN flower and card to share…. from my very own backyard!
This is my inspiration challenge for you at Altenew! And today I am sharing with you how I took these colours and made them into a card.
This flower is amazing and is from the Dragon Fruit plant, which is an unusual plant for sure…. not to mention it’s unusual fruit too. BUT, look at it’s flower, how incredible, but sadly it only lasts for a short time.
I kept my card quite literal today. Once I saw the Magnolia Ballerina Bundle I knew it was meant to be.
I used the co-ordinating stencils and 3D Embossing Folder. And of course had to add a bee from the Wild About You Set.
My sentiment combined a Bold Greetings Die and the Stone Mosaic Stamp Set.

Therese, it is a gorgeous specimen in your garden AND for your card! You know I’ve been yearning for this set since it released – so wonderful as a stand-in for your Dragon Fruit flowers!

These flowers only bloom for a day or so, and I felt lucky to get a quick picture as our plants aren’t very big as yet.

So happy they finally have an embossing folder that ‘somewhat’ matches the stencils…Altenew said they do not match when I wrote and asked. Hope they come out with ‘exact’ match embossing folders and stencils….such a pretty look!
I agree Jan, the ‘matching’ embossing folder and stencils make a great way to combine our products and I know that Altenew have more of the same… I just can’t remember off the top of my head which they are as I am away on holidays at present but I will try to remember to do a share after I get home. ps if I forget I am happy for a reminder lol.
