A BEAUTIFUL Floral Bouquet Card – Guest Designer for Catherine Pooler!

Have you ever tried ‘no-line’ colouring with pencils? I think this technique really makes a floral bloom come to life!

But first, did you see that I am a Guest Designer for Catherine Pooler this month. I have already shared a VIDEO creating 3 floral cards from stamped backgrounds, and if you missed that video, you can check it out right HERE.

Today, I just had to play with the Fresh Picked Floral Stamp Set once again.

Therese Calvird - Catherine Pooler - Fresh Picked Florals - Mothers and Daughters Sentiments (card) 1

I simply stamped the floral images with Catherine Pooler Inks that coordinated with the colours that I wanted them to be.

Then I was able to come in and colour the images with my Prismacolor Pencils that matched the ink colours. This gives the flowers a look of ‘no-line’ which to me, feels a lot ‘softer’.

And I used the Mothers & Daughters Sentiments Stamp Set which has some gorgeous sentiments!

  1. Oh my goodness what a stunner this is Therese, your pencil colouring so rocks. I love the colours and design xx hugs Aileen

  2. I’m not a flower stamp kinda gal, I love to see them done as gorgeously as you’ve made this card. But between stamping & colouring them I seem to have huge issues, I watch so many of you do them with stunning results but mine look like they’ve been attacked by a weedkiller monster. Please keep sharing yours and I can admire from a harmless distance.x

    1. hahaha you totally made me laugh out loud at your ‘weedkiller monster’ comment, maybe you should pop round one day and we could practice colouring flowers together…. without the weedkiller monster lol.

  3. Congratulations on being a guest designer over at Catherine Pooler. I totally agree with Andrea I too have huge issues so am glad to view others and their craft. The is so pretty the soft colours from the pencils really brings the blooms to life.

    Marie

  4. Great idea to stamp the outline in the “base” color! Love the results!
Unfortunately, whenever I try to color like you, it looks worse than a 2 year old’s! 🙁
