Have you ever tried using one Hot Foil image to create 2 cards? I have another ‘twofer’ design today and you know they are always fun!
But first… Did you know that this video is part of my Take 2 With Therese series of videos that I create for Altenew? You can check out the full playlist right HERE for more inspiration.
For both card designs I used the Delightful Flowers Hot Foil Plate.
This set has a co-ordinating Layering Stencil Set which makes it very quick and easy to add colour. And today I used some of my favourite combos of ink for this bouquet!
I kept both card designs clean and simple (no surprise there wink).
And I added a simple white heat embossed sentiment from the Ornamental Bliss Stamp Set.
Here’s where the ‘twofer’ happens. I used the negative portion of the hot foil to create a glossy black floral card panel.
And I did a little happy dance when I saw how it came out!
I also kept this card simple by adding a die cut circle sentiment from the Magnolia Ballerina Stamp Set.

Both cards are gorgeous! I tend to like color but am really impressed with how the black card came out. The shiny black is very dramatic! Enjoyed your video as always Therese.

I got the solid plate for my birthday. I hope I get as beautiful a results as you did, Therese. That black card is stunning.
It does take a little practice to get that result, but totally worth it. The game changer for me was using the Crafty Critta cardstock. But worth trying whatever you have… Yupo is brilliant too (just a little on the expensive side).
LOVE the colors – and the very cool black, Therese!! When it comes to foiling, you’ve shown us to NEVER eliminate the negative!! Two gorgeous cards!

As always really enjoyed your video an the resulting beautiful cards.The stencil is beautiful and a godsend for the likes of me who cannot colour to save my life.Unfortunately I haven’t had any success with my solid foil plate I must give it another go as your black card is so dramatic it really has inspired me.

I’ve found that the key for getting great results with the negatives is the paper. My fave is the Crafty Critta, but you could also try Yupo (or similar although that is a little expensive).
