Do you like using your design paper to create beautiful flowers? It’s such an easy way to make a bouquet quickly but still have a beautiful result… you’ll see what I mean!
But first, this post is part of a Hop celebrating a new release from Altenew and you can find all of the hop details in the link list below!
If you have been here before then you may already know that I am addicted to die cut layered flowers and with the unique ‘keyhole and arrow’ feature in these Prickly Pear layered flowers they come together quicker than ever. Seriously, anyone can make these!

The trick is to choose design papers that coordinate well together. One of the easiest options is to use papers from the same paper pack as they are made with the purpose of coordinating together. This helps take the guess work out of choosing! Today, I used the Alcohol Ink Backgrounds pack, but of course you can create your own paper if you have alcohol inks and a little extra time.
PRO TIP: I couldn’t find the ‘right’ colour orange to add behind the flower centre so I die cut it in a lighter colour and simply coloured overtop with an artist marker!

I added a simple sentiment from the Elegant Sayings Set as well as a subtle debossed frame usign the Ornate Nesting Die Set, but this step is totally optional.
