UNBOXING the Magnetic Glass Mat: It’s Finally HERE for Australian Crafters! | plus Video!

Have you crafted on glass? mmmm what are your thoughts? I’d love to know because I spill the beans in my video today…

I have wanted to turn to the ‘dark side’ or the ‘glass side’ of crafting for years but every time I have looked into postage, conversion rates and then there is another fear too… which I explain in my video. So, when one of my favourite Australian affiliate companies Auzz Trinklets N Crafts reached out to try out their new glass mat I didn’t hesitate! AND the kicker is that the mat is White!!

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

I have been using THIS mat for a few weeks now and I didn’t want to share my thoughts until I had a chance to try it out and get a real feel for crafting on glass. And spoiler alert, it was as I thought it would be, FABulous! In my video I walk you through the unboxing as well as a few quick techniques and features that I have been using already!

There are 2 versions of the Magnetic Glass Mat available, there is a choice of Metric or Imperial. And I have provided my affiliate links here if you would like to use them.

Thank you Auzz Trinklets N Crafts for bringing this great product to us Aussie crafters and just in time for Christmas too 😉!

Let me know if you already have a glass mat or would like to try one in the comments below… and if you do, let me know what is your favourite technique using the mat?

Thank you for spending some of your day with me and I hope you enjoyed this short video. Crafty hugs,

  1. Therese, I have had a wonderfully white Glassboard Studio Glass Mat that I love for a few years now – EVERY technique that can be just a bit messy is better done on that mat because it cleans up like new no matter what I throw at it! HOWEVER, I never use a craft knife on it – a little chef’s tip for you: glass cutting boards do dreadful things to your good knives! Plus, I just don’t want to scratch it!
Best of all? I WON it on Instagram – still pinching myself!
Off I go now to see how if it has made a difference to your crafty life…
    =]

    1. I remember your win (but obviously my memory is not that good, I thought you won it at the CMSS, but that must have been something else lol). But, when you were saying how good it was I actually went and priced one to send over here and it just wasn’t worth the cost at the time, and once I saw the white I could never have one with a black background. So far I love it, I am in the process of changing my light set up. Also, I am not keen on cutting on it, so thank you for the tip my beautiful Chef friend x

  2. Your lighting was good. The mat certainly has good properties and copes well with mess, which would be good here. I hope Santa is listening!

  3. I love working on glass for so many techniques. I still find I use my altenew self healing matt to though. Loved the video!
    Cheers
