Do you get to enjoy crafty time with others? I had a fun crafty session with a friend and we weren’t even in the same house…
Of course there was too much talking and not as much crafting as there could have been 😉, but it’s truly good for the heart to spend time with our friends doing the things we love, and not in the same house?… Yes, it was a Zoom event!
I finished the original card I was making, but decided to ‘re-make’ it with you! I also wanted to share my friend, Michele’s card, she used the same stamp set with my FAVE colour combo! And, if you haven’t met her before then you are in for a treat, she is a card making Superstar and a huge inspiration for me. You can check out her card HERE and scroll down to see my original design.
You can see the LIVE video replay right HERE.

#RE-MAKE?
Why do I love creating ‘Same but Different‘ cards so much? Well, it’s because I don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time. It helps me to focus on a stamp set, a technique or a design style. Typically I will use the same colour combo’s throughout the card designs and this also helps to speed up the ‘thinking’ process because truly this is one of the most difficult things for me. I ADORE creating colour combinations, but I tend to overthink them. So once it’s decided it’s easier to limit my palette and create multiple cards using the same colours.
#MYCARD
Today I have a VERY floral card to share. I wanted to create a simple Fun-Fold card and ‘cover’ it in flowers. The quickest way to do this is in my mind is to ink blend, so I chose a ‘bouquet’ style image that had co-ordinating stencils

I personalised the card to suit, as the recipient adores gardening and flowers. I will write the sentiment on the reverse of the card either on another piece of cardstock or add a card behind. It will be hand delivered so postage won’t be a problem.

PRO TIP: Instead of using numbers to personalise the design you could also use a name or their initials.

#INSPIRATION
Here is the first card that I made. You can see that I kept the design the same, this definitely speeds up the process… but, you may already know that I don’t like to recreate a card ‘exactly’.

So one of the best places to start is to change up the colour combinations which is what I did here. I struggled with a new colour combination and decided to almost reverse the colours to keep it simple.

I personalised this card by using the favourite colour of the recipient… Yellow!

Are you ready to create some Fun-Fold Floral cards? If you are inspired by today’s ideas I’d love you to share them on Social Media with me! Thank you for stopping by today, sending crafty hugs your way!

Yes I do enjoyed todays live. Used Altenews billowing peonies and matching stencil to make two cards. Shared and lagged you on Instagram. I think zoom crafting is a great idea.

I will book you in to join us, though setting up can take up half the time allocated lol. I am looking at trialing Microsoft Teams as we get an hour… when I get back from camping x
So stunning!!! Love the new fun fold twist.
Thank you so much!
It was great to watch you live. More often I have to watch on replay, and it’s just fun to listen and watch you craft. They are beautiful cards – my favorite is the blue 🙂
I think that one turned out my fave in the end too, though the colour struggle can be real lol. Thanks for joining us, it’s always such fun to hang out together!

Another fun hour hanging out with your friends, Therese! You really challenged yourself lining up that stencil so many times! I just love the results… for the record you can make that one for MY 99th – you know, in 50 years!! LOL
Thanks for Playing cards, my friend. And for sharing my card!

I LOVE hanging out creating with you, and I hope this is something we can do more often… but first, I have to get back from this camping trip lol.
I know it was fun playing with Michele because I’ve done it IRL. I love your fun fold with the all over flowers. It’s so pretty, Therese, and personalized too.
Oh I am so jealous, I would love to join you crafting… maybe, one day!
That Michele is a sweetheart! I’ve crafted with her for reals and it’s a treat! Love your pretty card today, Therese. Gorgeous colors and the texture of the hat is the icing on the cake!
I am so jealous, I would love to craft for ‘reals’ with all of you! Sending hugs x
I just returned from 3 weeks in the UK!
We visited Bristol, where my mother-in-law lives, then southern Wales to St. David’s City then southwestern England to Land’s End. It was great!
The weather was surprisingly dry, except for 3 days of spotty drizzle. Have a great time!
How exciting, we can’t wait to visit our friends and enjoy the beautiful countryside, hope our weather is as good as yours lol. Hugs x
