Do you ever make white flowers? Me?… I make flowers in ALL colours, and you may see just a little more pink and orange 😉. But, what about making them white, let’s do that together today!
But first, I wanted to let you know that this is part of my Take 2 Series with Altenew and I’m so excited that you are joining me for another video today. Let’s begin with a peek at today’s cards…

#WHITEFLOWERS
Have you ever tried creating WHITE flowers?
Simply die cutting white cardstock and layering petals and flower centers, it lacks something, so what can you do? Today I have 2 techniques to inspire you to create some easy and beautiful white die cut flowers.
Technique #1 – Blended Shadow
A quick and easy way to add some shadow and depth to a white die cut flower is to lightly blend some black or grey ink to the centre of the petals. But don’t just limit yourself to ink blending, you could certainly add shadows using any medium you prefer, such as alcohol markers, watercolours or even pencils!

For today’s cards I used these easy to assemble layered Anemones. But you could try this technique with any layered die cut flowers that you have.

To create the center of the flowers I added the color using alcohol markers.
PRO TIP: A fast and easy way to create multiple flowers, is to die cut ALL the pieces in white cardstock and then add color after.

Technique #2 – Stamped Pattern
For a modern bold design why not try stamping a pattern onto some of the petals of the white die cut flower. I used a funky striped background stamp, but a dotted pattern or even a graphic style would look fabulous too.

These flowers would have looked fantastic on a bright colour or even black background, but I kept it simple by adding some simple textured lines using an embossing folder.
BONUS IDEA: Don’t have a striped embossing folder? Did you know that you can use a score tool to add debossed lines and create your own stripe patterned background.

I used the same sentiment for both cards today, they look different because I embossed the first one on black cardstock. Using generic sentiments such as this, means that I can give this card for many occasions.

I hope you are inspired to create some quick and easy ‘white’ die cut flowers! Let me know in the comments below if you are going to try this technique.

Also, just in case you want to do a little shopping I’ve added the links below (some of them are affiliate links which means that I will receive a small portion of the sale at no extra cost to you). I truly appreciate your support of my card adventures!

Beautiful and stunning xx
Thank you Angellica!
Both cards are beautiful. I especially like the way you added just a tiny bit of black to the white centers to give dimension. I will be trying both of these ideas!
What beautiful ideas for white floral die cuts! That graphic one is so cool.
Thank you so much!
