#STENCILS

Technique #1: Textured Rainbow Background

For the first card, I created a multi ink blended balloon background in a cheerful rainbow of colors. And, we could have left it like that – but we took it a little further…

STEP-IT-UP: I added dimension and texture by using a cover die to dry emboss the background panel, giving the card a polished, professional finish.

BONUS TIP: Don’t have a cover die? You can still create texture by dry embossing a stencil directly or using an embossing folder. These stash-friendly options are perfect for stepping up your cards without extra tools.

Technique #2: Stamping Through a Stencil

For the second card, I stenciled three balloons to create a simple, modern base.

STEP-IT-UP: I added a fun twist by stamping a confetti pattern through the stencil. This adds pattern and interest while keeping the design clean and modern.

PRO TIP: Because I stamped in black, I could touch up any edges or gaps with a fine marker, but you can also do this with colored markers or pencils if necessary!
