Is there such a thing as too bright? Today… we’re putting that to the test!
I’ve created a Merry & Bright wreath card that takes the classic holiday design and gives it a bold, happy twist – and yep, you can craft right along with the video replay below if you’d like to see it come together in real time.
Whether you’re team bright + cheerful or you lean neutral + classic, this idea is easy to customise (and even easier to swap for other seasons!).
Would you like to see today’s card?
Would you like to see what we made together?

If you missed the LIVE, don’t worry, you can catch the replay right here and craft along with me in real time.

A Bright Take on a Classic Wreath
This wreath design is all about colour, layers, and a few small choices that make a big impact. I used a mix of bright cardstocks, layered leaves for extra texture, and added pops of contrast to pull everything together.
A few fun details to look out for:
▪️ Mixed brights to make the wreath glow without clashing
▪️ Layered leaves for depth and texture
▪️ Repeated colours to keep everything balanced
▪️ A clean sentiment to anchor the design
▪️ Your choice of bow – die cut, stamped, or twine (mine loves to steal the spotlight!)
▪️ And yes… you can absolutely add a bird if you want to.
Card Inspiration: Merry and Bright Wreath Card
In today’s project, I took a ton of bright colored cardstock and bundled it together to make a unique Holiday card color combination.

STEP-IT-UP: I kept the background simple… but an embossed pattern or a subtle stamped design would take it to a whole other level.

BONUS TIP: Don’t have a wreath die? Die cut a simple leaf image (or a mix of them), draw a light circle on your card base, and adhere the leaves around it to create your own dimensional wreath.

What would I do differently?
- I would add some detail to the dark purple background – I love CAS cards, but…
- Next time, I’d try some ink blending on the wreath too as that would add a subtle detail along with a ton of dimension.
- And I would also like to try a version using a banner sentiment…
Now it’s Time for YOU to Get Crafty!
I hope this merry and bright wreath card inspires you to pull out your dies, play with some bold colours, and create something beautiful. If you try this idea, I’d love to see what you make – share your version in the comments or tag me on social!
