There’s something magical about being able to see through the layers of a card design
For today’s card, I created an interactive ocean scene with a window easel fold, layered tropical fish, and plenty of underwater depth and detail. And the best part? It still folds flat for mailing. 🐠

So, where did I start today?
This was actually my first time making a window easel card, and I had so much fun putting it together. Once I started layering the pond details, seaweed elements, and tropical fish, it really began to feel like a tiny underwater aquarium scene.

Card Inspiration – Interactive Ocean Scene Card
To create the underwater scene, I started with a layered fishpond background and added an acetate window.
I tucked seaweed elements around the edges and finished the scene with three layered tropical fish including a blue tang, angelfish, and anemone fish (one of my fave fishes from my diving days).
The base of the easel card features soft stenciling to continue the ocean feel, and the sentiment works as the stopper to hold the interactive design in place when displayed.
And yes… it still folds flat for mailing
