You had me at G’day!
What kind of card do you make for a friend who became an Australian citizen? One filled with Aussie critters, gum leaves, and a big Aussie welcome!

Card Inspiration – Australian Welcome Card
This card was such a joy to make, and I couldn’t resist filling it with a few favourite Aussie faces.
There’s a kangaroo with joey, a koala with joey, a cheeky cockatoo, and a little platypus all gathered together to say a warm “G’day.” My favourite Australian critter is the platypus, and I’ve been lucky enough to see them in the wild, so of course I had to include one.

The soft gum leaves in the background helped bring everything together and gave the card an extra Aussie feel without stealing the spotlight from those sweet little critters.

Aussie Crafty Friends!
Are you in Australia? I’m putting together an Aussie Crafty Friends list so I can share Australia-only crafty updates, including destash Mystery Boxes, little giveaways, and maybe even future local crafty get-togethers.
I have some destash Mystery Boxes ready to go, so if you’re interested it would be best to join soon.
Please note: physical items can only be sent to an Australian postal address.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card,
Crafty hugs,

Special thanks to my crafty assistant, Chad (aka ChatGPT), for helping me stay on track with my Gemini brain, grammar, and spelling… well, all the things! 😄

Perfect card for an Aussie newbie. Super cute and welcoming.
I had so much fun making this one, thank you Shirl!
The perfect card for the occasion!
Thanks so much Christine!
Beautiful card. I love all critter cards. So much fun and love
Yes, I’ve been loving creating critter cards myself at the moment!
Therese your welcome Aussie card is darling. Who makes the Aussie animal dies? Sorry I can’t join your group, but I live in the USA.
I know that Kat Scrappiness has some Aussie themed dies – mostly quokas and all different styles, they are so much fun. I have an affiliate link for her store which means if you did happen to purchase anything I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you, or if you prefer simply search her store in google – https://tidd.ly/4qGolKD
Love this card, would also work for an Aussie Christmas card for friends overseas. ❤️
I totally agree!
Absolutely adorable!! Where did you get the Aussie animal images? I really enjoy your posts and you are great at explaining the “how to’s” for your projects.
I’m in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the USA and we are currently in an extreme heat wave (along with much of our country). Our usual summers are 70 – 80 F for June, July & Aug., we seldom have temps above 85 F but…all this week we are going to be in high 90’s to 100 +.😵 So I have a perfect excuse to spend this week in my craft room making cards!😉
I’m not sure where in Australia you live, so you may be in very cold snowy weather or maybe a very moderate July. Whatever it is, stay warm & please keep sending your fun posts & great card ideas.🤗
Hi Debbie, I live in the sub tropics and though it may feel cool to me the sun is shining and the days are about 23 degrees celcius… so not too bad really lol. This set of Aussie critters is retired and was made by Ellen Hutson back in the day. I am holding onto it forever hahaha.
I do hope you say cool and crafty over the next few days, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be very nice for you. So glad you are here with me and enjoy my cards and posts. Yippeeeeee! Crafty hugs Therese x
oops forgot to say that my hubby was born in Michigan… you may know him (wink) no not really, he’s been here since he was 4 years old.
To cute! I’m partial to the little joey since I have a Joseph, Joe, Joey of my own!
How wonderful!
Love the card, Therese! Where did you get the Aussie animal stamps and dies?
These are a retired set from Ellen Hutson… sadly
I think you might know how much I WISH I were your neighbor, my friend! Such a sweet way to say welcome to your friend!
=]
And we would craft/talk all day… and nothing else would get done lol.
Such a cute card with all the Australian critters on it, Therese.
I had so much fun making this one!
I bet your friend loved her card, I love all the Australian animals. How amazing seeing a platypus 😃
They are incredible critters!
