Who says holiday wreaths have to be green?
I’m back with more inspiration from Concord & 9th and their wonderful Holiday release! Did you catch my first cards where I shared some tips for using stencils on holiday cards, or my modern twist on traditional reds and greens?
Today, I’m sharing two cards that put a fun spin on wreaths – with sweet Nectar and Pink Lemonade instead of the classic green.

#WREATHS
I’m shaking things up with two sweet and festive cards featuring die-cut wreaths in Nectar and soft pinks. These non-traditional colors bring a fresh, modern feel to your holiday designs while keeping all the festive charm.
Card #1 – Layered Leaves
This card has so much texture and dimension, and I love how the subtle debossed frame on the card base adds a touch of elegance without stealing the show.
I layered the leaves to create a lush wreath and added some green berries for a little extra detail. The sentiment is stamped right in the center of the wreath, keeping it simple, sweet, and festive.

This is a great example of how you can step away from traditional greens while still keeping a classic wreath feel – the sweet nectar and pink tones really make it modern and fresh!

Card #2 – Inlay Die Cut
For this card, I went for a slightly different approach. The wreath is a single layer that’s inlaid into the card panel, but here’s a fun detail – using the coordinating die, I cut out the center of the wreath and layered it beneath for a subtle dimensional effect.
To make it even more festive, I added a touch of chunky glitter cardstock behind the wreath. A banner sentiment finishes it off, keeping the focus on the wreath while adding a cheerful message.

This technique is a lovely way to play with layers and textures without making the card too bulky – plus, those pink and nectar tones give it a modern holiday vibe!

These wreath cards were so much fun to create, and I love how changing up the colors can completely refresh a classic holiday design! I’d love to hear – would you try a sweet nectar and pink palette, or stick with traditional greens?
Don’t forget I’ll be back with more inspiration from this fabulous Holiday release – til then, crafty hugs!

Therese, I have always embraced pink at Christmas – your combo with nectar is stunning as are your wreaths!
=]
LOVE the pink wreaths!!!
Yay! Thank you!
I think traditional Christmas colors are more representative of a winter holiday…
I’ve seen many cards w pinks and baby blue and light yellow that would
make adorable baby cards or other types of cards, but Christmas?
Is it because these are great colors that are being put out? If so, I agree
they are great colors, but for Christmas? Not so much.
This is not directed exactly at the design of your card. Just wondering
Why do people think it says Merry Christmas at a glance?
When I saw this wreath, i really liked the design, but the wreath made me think
of cotton candy and summer… not winter holidays.
Thanks for the wonderful card designs you do, though. I often use them. 🙂
But it just baffles me with all the spring colors on Christmas cards right now.
Maybe it’s because we see so much Holiday stuff and if it gets changed up in the shops we may just buy more stuff to change the look (and spend money). I would get bored making hundreds of Holiday cards in just one colour combo lol. and, for me, living in a Summery Christmas, snow, snowflakes and traditional always felt too ‘hot’. But over the years I have embraced the snow and don’t care if we are swimming in the pool on Christmas day, having BBQ food, snow is now making it’s way onto my cards! Thank you for sharing!
I know several people who would love pink Christmas wreaths, Therese. Both are lovely.
Thanks Bobby, it’s nice to create something a little different!
Well these are delightful pair of wreath cards.
Really loving the pale pastel colours that you’ve used today.
Crafty hugs
I’ve been in a pastel mood lately… not sure when that will change lol.
Ohhhhh, these are pretty! I like the wonderful shade of pink you chose for your wreaths. Two more marvelous makes, Therese!
These were fun to make, especially layering up those pink leaves!
