Double It Up! Embossing Folder Ideas for Masculine Cards
Doubling up your embossing is an easy way to add impact and lots of texture. Pair an embossed background with embossed die cut elements, then customise your stamped background to suit your stash – switch up the colours, sentiments, or images to make it work for any style.
Today’s card brings together bold colour, lots of texture, and a fun little twist… because honestly, who wouldn’t smile at flying pigs on a birthday card!
Card Inspiration – When Pigs Fly Birthday Card
I decided to go with a multi coloured stamped sentiment background. It’s a BIG sentiment, so it was quick and easy to create. Using a graphic style embossing folder lets the sentiment stay nice and legible, while still adding plenty of texture.
Adding the large numbers, embossed with the same pattern, helps tie everything together.
As for the pigs… well, critters might be a little unexpected on a masculine card, but I think they add such a fun element that it works beautifully.
