This time the call was for Diamonds / Jewels for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine and I realised that I had not one….. sadly. But I got creative and this is what I came up with, it’s hard to see in this below average photo but each section of the diamond is a shaker… so cool!
Oh Yeah – DetailOh Yeah
Loving the sentiment too which is a wood veneer from Freckled Fawn, they have such fun embellies. Have a great day,
Sadly this is my last post as part of The Alley Way Stamps Youtube Specialist team, and I gotta say that it really has been a blast. This has been truly one of the most social, fun and organized teams, and I know that I will miss them all. So today I thought I would share a card to send my love to the team (especially to Ali and Chrissie) and beware, I will totally be blog stalking.

Here is the inspiration for this month’s challenge…
I liked the bold colours and the simple funky designs so I used MFT’s Modern Blooms again… and a new scripty die from Lawn Fawn. You could even use this design for a Chrissy card if you are feeling the ‘bold’ness.

I had a little trouble photographing this little number so here is a close up of how I used the acetate to add the centre of the sentiment on my popped up panel.

It’s been so long since I’ve used ribbon that I’d forgotten how nice it can look and I especially like it with this gorgeous bride from Penny Black. This is a card that I was lucky to have published by The Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine for a ‘ribbon’ feature.

I’ll be back in a couple of days with another video, so glad you could visit.
Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – Eggshell, White, Light Peach, Peach, Pink, Magenta, Blush Pink, Dark Brown, Sepia, Sienna Brown.
As soon as I saw this set at TAWS I knew just what I wanted to do, create my own word background, although there was a little moment of debate where I did consider using a colour instead of the black… but in my mind’s eye it was black, so it stayed that!
Loving the Luxe, it’s so creamy and it’s actually quite different to other pastes as it seems to sit lower on the cardstock… almost like a foil (but easier). This card is for Scrapbook Boutique and I created a video so you can watch how it came about.

I’m pretty sure this one started with the rosettes and it just all got a bit modern from there. I’m not sold on the blending in the background, but it’s there now and I don’t detest it (otherwise it would have been for the bin lol), but I do adore the colour of the Platinum Stickles!

This video is for The Alley Way Stamps and I gotta say this fish really makes me smile and well, what more can I say… love a him/her version! I was also thinking about it after, that a little tulle in her ‘hair’ would’ve been cute…
So I wanted the ‘pencily’ look and now I’m not so sure… what do you think, maybe my usual bold and bright might have been better? I had fun though and it doesn’t hurt to stretch those creative urges, I have enough stuff here to stretch them for years… but apparently I still ‘need’ more, just ask my friend Paypal, good bloke that one, I don’t even have to leave my seat (go figure). Now to business….
It seems like I’ve started a new series called ‘By Request‘, it’s quite happened by accident but it’s been fun and given me a little focus, so let me know if there is anything you want me to show or try, as most of the cards I make are created while videoing sometimes with lots of pre-thought sometimes with very little and lots of ‘winging it’ along the way (so a little direction may be good).
This card was a re-creation of this card HERE, and I know it may look very different but it’s really just the same technique with different colours and images.
Can’t keep me away from the gold at the moment, and who could blame a girl right lol. I was asked a few questions about a card I recently made so today I’ve ‘remade’ a similar card using some Penny Black products and filmed as I created so you can watch.

Isn’t it Oh So Pretty! Initially I was so tempted to go with the ‘butterflies’ but resisted the urge and focused on the pretty colour scheme with that wonderful gold inspiration. Hope you like it!

A very simple OLC today for Scrapbook Boutique. I love finding ways to use those ‘small’ stamps in a set and multi-stamping is perfect for this. I filmed as I created so you could watch the process.
Having some Mama Elephant die cutting fun at Scrapbook Boutique. I just love how these papers work together, the foiled and glitter cardstocks are way too cool! I filmed my card for you to watch, hope you like it.
Playing with some glittery die cuts at Scrapbook Boutique today and I’m loving the lack of glitter on my workspace, clothes, face… well, you get what I mean lol. I filmed as I created just in case you wanted to watch.

I focused on the colours and shimmer of this month’s inspiration… I don’t have any shell ‘ish’ stamps and I thought these colours would make for a pretty wedding card.

Something non-Christmassy today. I have made a wedding card using this elegant image from Penny Black, minimal colouring and I kept it clean & simple. I filmed while I created for you to share.
Back with the next challenge at Mama Elephant and Me and we are heading away from Christmas and into Love, getting ready for Valentines Day!
I’m so loving my Confetti Creative Cuts die at the moment. I used it for the centre of the flower and to dot the ‘i’. And can you believe I had four sets of stamps out for this simple card!

So I totally focused on the colours and the ‘pretty’ feel of these cupcakes. Seriously, I would have trouble eating these beauties… well, at I would probably consider it for a few minutes at least before I took my first bite lol.
