Hiya! Welcome back, it’s Friday and that means time for another challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps and this week it’s Say it in… Kraft, Lemon & White {ac071}. I tried a couple of variations and finally settled on this CAS little number. Not so easy to see the subtle effect of the white embossing.
Why not take a minute to check out what the other awesome Belles have created, you can find all the links in my sidebar. Also don’t forget that we have a new Topical Tuesday every week, and this week Patti has a fantastic gift idea using tiles….
Some more exciting news while I’ve got you here, AnnaBelle Stamps has another challenge happening every month in the Community site where you can win a $20 gift voucher (yipppeeee), you can see all the deets HERE!
– We post our challenges every Friday at 12:00pm AEST (AEDT during Daylight Savings).
– Each challenge runs for a week, and will close on the Friday 10.00am so that we can announce and showcase our weekly winners prior to the next challenge.
– Each weeks winner will receive our special blinkie to display on their blog and a $10.00 Gift Voucher to spend in store at AnnaBelle Stamps (or something equivalent).
How To Play Along :
– Copy and save our challenge banner and include it and a link back to the ABS blog in your post if you have a blog.
– Please link directly to your entry not just to your blog or gallery.
– Please don’t link to postings made prior to the date of our current challenge. All projects submitted must be new.
– A maximum of 7 challenges may be combined including this one.
– You may enter any of our challenges several times as long as each submission is with a new creation.
– We would love you to use AnnaBelle Stamps and embellishments, but you can play along without using them, it’s all about sharing ideas 🙂
I adore the new look over at CAS-ual Fridays, and this week they have a sketch… not my usual ‘go-to’ challenge, but the CAS design of this one suited me just fine! I’ve combined it with Moxie Fab’s Trigger Tuesday where I was inspired by the watercolour effect and the colours. I’m off to work now, hope you have a fun day!
Here is a video tutorial that I’ve made for Scrapbook Boutique. I had some major fun making this! I finally had a chance to CASE this amazing card here by Gayatri, she is totally awesome, you really need to visit and see for yourself. I wanted to try out a new blending solution called Zest-it that’s environmentally friendly and I gotta say that I really do like it!
I had the most wonderful package arrive the other day. I needed to purchase some goodies from AnnaBelle Stamps and they had a storewide sale, thus the perfect time to buy! The only real problem was ‘putting the brakes on’…. Anyway, to celebrate their arrival I thought I would join in AnnaBelle Stamps Colour Challenge. And as this is a card of Thanks it also fits the bill for Simon Says Stamp Thanksgiving / Thank You Challenge.

I’ve got a little catching up to do, so here is a couple of cards that I had accepted for publication from the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Magazine. The call was to use laser cut chipboard and I had so much fun with these gorgeous cats and this dress form from Scrapmatts, Love them!

This is what you call a JUMBO stamp, it’s absolutely wonderful and so totally versatile. I love it when I can look at a stamp and pretty much already see the cards I’m going to make, that’s when I know that I need it! Evelyn at Scrapbook Boutique gave me that opportunity and I think you will be seeing this stamp alot in the future! I made this card for the Scrapbook Boutique Blog (you can visit here to see the tutorial) and I have included the links to the products that I used in the supplies listed below.
I want ot share with you one of my recent publications in the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine. This is one of my favourite colour combinations and I have shares in Bazzill papers – Dragonfly and Swimming Pool and my Copic BG10 is my ‘all time’ favourite colour! I will mix it with anything but adore it when mixed with yellow… as you can see. Please excuse the poor quality photos, these were taken pre Light Box days (I LOVE my light box – I can take photos anytime now, yippee!… Did I tell you that I love my light box?). I nearly forgot to mention that my ‘Dreams’ card made the front cover, I totally did a little dance over that!!
Can I tell you something funny? The other day I was sitting at my desk making cards (yes, I know that’s hard to believe!) and my husband was sitting talking to me and says with a most serious face “haven’t you got enough stuff?…” It was hard for me not to start rolling around on the floor laughing, but my response to him was, “haven’t you got enough kayaks?…” and then the world continued on.
Now onto the cards, (please scroll down for the PDCC) I thought I would combine this post as the cards are similar, and I couldn’t help myself but make more than one! I haven’t played with this Pink Petticoat image for a while, but the sundaes came to mind when I saw the current challenge at Jay Gee’s Blog. I am combining this with the CASE Study Challenge (CSC38) this week, where the new Muse is Sarah Martina Parker. I also wanted to get out my pencils after seeing this tutorial over at Shari’s blog, and I thought that these would look a little more vintage than Copics.

I definitely had to join this weeks Play Date Cafe Challenge, as I am still reeling over my win last week. This will be a thank you card for a wonderful friend who we stayed with recently in outback Western Australia (you can see some photos HERE if you are interested). I also did make my light box today… now I just need some lights…

I love this ‘Delightful Dahlia”, Dawn McVey is just awesome! And the nicest person ‘in real life’ – I was very lucky to meet her when she visited Australia last year. I just wanted to share this card that I made using her dahlia which was published in the latest Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine in the Colour Challenge (Purple, yellow & sage). Hope you like it.

So I needed a quick Thank You card… and of course there was not one in my stash. I’ve had an idea in my head and was inspired by the CASE Study Challenge (loved Nina’s black & white butterfly) as well as the colours from the current Play Date Cafe Challenge. What a great mix!

So here are a couple of different versions of the what is essentially the same card. I just had to have this Heros Arts Poppy Background Stamp when I saw what Tami Hartley had done with it at the Hero Arts Blog. I hope you like my bright version. I thought I would enter this into the current CASE Study Challenge #15 where the Muse is still Heather Pulvirenti.

This is a Thank You card for a 10 year old girl, so of course it needed some pinkness & prettiness. This is entered in the current Clean & Simple Fall to Layout 111. I just love this sketch, the possibilities are endless. So I thought I would make a few – hope you like them.
So I wasn’t particularly happy with my entry to the Scrapbook Boutique Colour Challenge. I thought I could do better. This is my second attempt. Not quite so pastelly (not sure if there is such a word), I think it’s better. Hope you like it! Of course I made 2 versions, this also seems to be my current trend, my theory being that I have already made a mess, so why not make the most of it. Here is where you can find this digital download Isabella’s Sketchbook (thanks Marion).
