On the Baker’s Twine Bandwagon!

Welcome!  I have finally joined the masses & have purchased some Baker’s Twine – it’s a fabulous set from Martha Stewart made for the holidays , 3 different colours & lots in the pack so I thought I should start using some.  This is my entry for the current Clean & Simple FTL112.  I’m not sure how well you can see the Rickrack border in the patterned paper, but I assure you it’s there.  What I like best about this card is that I just collected all of the ‘leftovers’ on my dest & this is what happened!

A Felt Flower

Just Because… it’s a challenge!

This is a card that I made to combine two challenges.  I just love these colours in the The Play Date Cafe’s latest colour challenge, so I thought I would mix them up with the newest Clean & Simple FTL113.  I am yet again using my current favourite brand… PTI!

Have a Spooktacular Halloween from Oz

Halloween is not really celebrated in Australia, although there are some hopeful enthusiastic children who trudge around with massive shopping bags on October 31st just in case…  So when I had to make some  halloween cards to send to the US – I had nothing to use.  So with the help of my trusty computer, Hero Arts and Papertry Ink this is what I came up with.  I have entered this card into this weeks There She Goes challenge.  Perfect colours for Halloween.

Sweetheart Flower

So I wasn’t particularly happy with my entry to the Scrapbook Boutique Colour Challenge.  I thought I could do better.  This is my second attempt.  Not quite so pastelly (not sure if there is such a word),  I think it’s better.  Hope you like it!  Of course I made 2 versions, this also seems to be my current trend, my theory being that I have already made a mess, so why not make the most of it.  Here is where you can find this digital download Isabella’s Sketchbook (thanks Marion).

Cupcake Bouquet challenge

Well it’s time for another Scrapbook Boutique Challenge  (for the aussie papercrafters).  It is a great online shop and their blog is packed full of information.  This challenge is colours, and I thought these would be easy…  I just don’t think I am a pastel kind of person, but here is what I came up with.  I decided to stay with cupcakes as this is what these flowers are made of, what a great cake!  I found this free digital download at Meljen’s Designs although I can’t find it now – you can purchase her digital stamps online at Whimsy Stamps.

Finally blogging with the Clean & Simple Challenge.

So here I am now,  finally ‘blogging’….  I’m not sure if I have a definate grasp on this yet and the learning curve is certainly steep.  I’ve been watching for a while and everyone makes it look soooo easy, but I gotta say it IS fun!

I thought I would share my entry to the current Clean & Simple challenge.  I needed a birthday card for my wonderful SIL.  And it’s about time she got some butterflies!  Everybody loves butterflies, especially us papercrafters, they are fab for filling up that little corner somewhere that may just look a little boring.  While I was making this card I thought I would make some extras.  Hope you like them.

Beautiful
For You
Happy Birthday
