Today’s CASE is from a most wonderful lady, Aileen from Colour and Sparkle, who loves to colour and she always has such happy and cheery cards! Here is the link to the CARD that I chose to CASE today.
I rarely use vellum and have been making an effort to bring it back into my repertoire. Thank so much for the inspiration Aileen.
I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2016 July release and blog hop, and if you arrived here from Laura Bassen’s blog then you are exactly where you need to be. Today we will be releasing 16 stamp sets, some new papers and washi tape! I had so much fun with these new stamp sets, I can’t wait to play some more.
Here is my first card for today (the video link is below),
Time for a CAS tone on tone background using those fabulous gray inks and the pale gray cardstock from Altenew. Then it was time for a bright stamp layered Tulip from this gorgeous new set and the sentiment was taken from Birch Land.
I decided to film as I created this card to show just how it came together.
And now, my second and brightest card for this release. I decided to use the Celebrations stamp set to create a fun wedding card. It was time to do some paper piecing and I decided to use one of my all time fave colour combos – bright orange and hot pink, now who wouldn’t love this?
And for my final card I used the Happy Mail set to create this clean and simple design. Just a little bit of sneaky masking, colour added with Prismacolor Pencils and my panel sitting up on a piece of (hoarded) Cherry Wood specialty paper, this card came together very quickly.

Today ‘It’s all About the CASE’ and I am so excited to be CASE’ing my friend Angela from It’s all about me! & a little about them. My card was inspired by her gorgeous design HERE, she has such a fun graphic style and a great use of colour!
Today I have the absolute pleasure of being asked guest at the Time Out Challenge. This is a fab and fun challenge where my card is CASed by the design team and whoever else wants to join in, it’s totally your interpretation, isn’t that wonderful. I can’t wait to see how my card inspires!
I’m so glad you could visit today and now it’s time to head over to the Time Out Challenge blog to see how the team have been inspired by my card!
Hiya, today I’m here with a By Request video for Scrapbook Boutique. I made this card HERE and was asked if I could show how I created it and so I’ve made the ‘same but different’ , it’s much easier to show you how on a video.
Hiya, today I have a focus post for Altenew and that means you get to see three cards all created using the same stamp set. It’s another fab layering flower set which we know Altenew does so well, this one is called Painted Rose.
When I saw this set I just knew that I had to do at least one ‘red rose’ card, and the crisp inks didn’t let me down. Don’t you just love the subtle recycled look of the Spicy Yogurt cardstock, I already know that I am going to have to ‘stock up’ on this one.
And for an easy to mass produce (especially if you have one of them MISTIs) here’s a quick and easy ‘Save the Date’ card, which could be stamped in any colour or in gold… silver…. well, you know where I’m going with this.
And did I say just one ‘red’ rose card, well, I did make it two. This version is a little different to the first with a watercoloury painted rose look.
So why not head over to the Altenew blog for some more deets on these cards as well as lots more inspiration from the rest of the team with this fabulous new release. Hugs,
I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2016 May release and blog hop, and if you arrived here from Sveta Fotinia’s blog then you are exactly where you need to be. Today we will be releasing 16 stamp sets and 10 dies and to be honest I just couldn’t stop making cards with this release, it’s so wonderful! So this is a very photo heavy post, and the fun deets are there if you scroll on down, have FUN!
Here is my first card for today,
Time for a CAS tone on tone background using those fabulous gray inks and the pale gray cardstock from Altenew. I used the new Dahlia Blossoms layering stamp set and stamped out my own sentiment with the Calligraphy Alpha (I wish my handwriting was this beautiful).
I decided to film as I created this card to show just how easy it came together.
And for my second and fave card for this release I have used new flower set called Spring Daisy, but instead of being a daisy I have coloured them as gerberas on my design. Yes, they are my favourite flowers and I think it’s because they are so bright and fun. I embossed the sentiment and it’s from the Dahlia Blossoms set, and added some pale gray and woodgrain cardstock for a bit of punch.
And for my final set of cards I used the Best Dad and Best Mom sets which are both very special sets because if you buy them before June 19th Altenew will donate 20% of the profits to an internation charity organization, the Zakat Foundation, to support seniors in need. This is another great way for you to show the support an the love of our crafting communtiy! I also used some sentiments from the Beautiful Quotes stamp set, which I thought worked perfectly with these wonderful images.

Today I’m at the Altenew blog and playing with this beautiful Oriental Orchid set, and I have a tip for you, so that you can be ready to create that ‘quick on the go’ card and still have something that looks beautiful.
We all approach stamping differently and sometimes you just gotta work out what is easiest for you. And that’s why I thought I would share with you today how I stamp out the layered flowers from Altenew’sPeony Bouquet set. These flowers are so versatile, with the outline, without the outline, with the layers or without the layers…. I think you get what I’m trying to say.
Today I have two videos to share, the first shows how I stamp out and die cut the images and you can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
And my second video is all about putting the card together and you can see that video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
I’ve linked all the stamps and dies below or just head over to Altenew (where there’s heaps more fab stuff). Have the best and hopefully crafty, day!
Other Supplies: Some random apricot coloured sequins. American Crafts cardstock – Peach / Olive. Prismacolor Pencil – Poppy Red.

Here is the inspiration for this month’s challenge…
I think it’s fairly obvious that I was inspired by the roses and that’s because I thought they were so beautiful. I made my panel easily, but then it took me literally FOREVER (ie over a week) to decide what to do with it from there, so finally I made myself ‘make a decision’ and in came the gold and black, phew.
From here you are heading to the Scrapbook Boutique Blog, thanks for joining us, it’s been heaps of fun!
