I’m back to Colour with ‘U’ today and it was time to get out my Polychromos pencils and practice. And what better image to practice on that a cute little one from Penny Black illustrated by Mo Manning. I decided to film as I created so you can watch the process.

Oh my goodness I love that kid!!! It could be me, honestly! when I was a child, my dad built us a real life ship’s ‘crow’s nest’ in our backyard! I loved the imaginative time spent there – and never was afraid of the climb – probably would be now, right?

Your card is so much fun! Such a cute little pirate! The polychromos add just the right amount of colour and I would agree that any markers would just be too much (although I am definitely no expert!).
