Today I share 5 different cards using ‘One Die 5 Ways’ with Penny Black, that’s right, it’s time to ‘Gimme 5’!
Can you tell, I have so much fun making these videos, once I get started I always think of more and more ideas, it’s like a challenge to myself to see what I can do with the idea that I think of…
Today’s die choice was the Leaf Pattern, super funky and so versatile!
It’s been a while since I’ve used a butterfly on a project (even though my hubby thinks it’s all I use lol.)
I chose some fun colours that I thought went well together and cut out a few of these panels.
I didn’t even add a sentiment to this inlay version, seriously bold of me I know!
Love the depth that the fun foam adds here…
Next, I decided to try some tone on tone.
and some silhouette roses
and finally a clean and simple design
I coloured the flowers with Copics but I could have just as easily die cut them with coloured cardstock.

Your cards are fantastic ! I love the colors and how you played with them.
The butterfly is really incredible, the mix of colors you made gives it an amazing moire effect. I hope this is the correct word – I’m thinking of this “changing” (or is it “evolving” ?) effect of colors like on the hummingbirds feathers, depending of the light. And really, watching your butterfly, I really have the impression it’s exactly the same. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us.
