I am thrilled to be back this year with another in my Same But Different Christmas Card Series and I am kicking it off with a theme and it’s time to get ‘Frosty’!
This year I am joining Michelle Lupton again with her Challenge Me a Christmas Card Series and when I started thinking about the theme Frosty the first thing that came to mind was the Penny Black Bundled Up Snowman and the idea just grew from there.
I added a simple red sentiment from the Triangle Trees stamp set.
My next glittery frosty is also a Penny Black image called Let’s Chill, these girls are always so sweet to colour.
I added a simple heat embossed sentiment from Mondo Holly, and speaking of which…
I decided that it would be great to try the Mondo Holly image in this style.
I added a die cut sentiment from Concord & 9’s Holly Jolly Banner Die.
My next three cards are shakers and I decided it would make some frosty fun to create an icy reflection… I started with the Waffle Flower Crafts Cold Hands.
With a sentiment from MFT’s Hand Lettered Holiday Greetings (have you seen this set yet? seriously!)
Then I had to use this Hero Arts Sledding cat, it cracks me up every time.
My final design is another MFT image from Chill Wishes (sadly I think this set is retired)….
But how cool is this sentiment from Hero Arts Off Beat Holiday Messages, another ‘had to have’!
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.
Don’t forget to head over and see what Michelle has made at her blog HERE!
I am so excited that you could join me here and I look forward to sharing another Same But Different card set next week, don’t forget to keep an eye out for that one. Christmassy hugs,

Oh wow! So many awesome creations! I love the frosty ones!
Such fabulous cards, Therese! I love them all, but especially the frosty/glittery three.
What a fun set of cards, Therese – especially love the little mouse/reflection card!
Each is a really cute treasure!!!! TFS how you made them – like the frosty look!
Oh my gosh!!! I’ve never attempted to add glitter to a card front like you did here Therese, what a gorgeous look, ohh!! I bet these cards look even more amazing in person.
I love that Slapstick Snowman by Penny Black, these types of stamps make it really easy to add color and shading with your markers.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful cards and video.
Sending hugs.
Maria.
Great ideas and such cute cards! You can never have too much sparkle!
These are all so gorgeous!
fabulous cards, I just love that idea with the glitter, so have to try this. And those wonderful shaker cards. Loooove your Christmas card series Therese
SIX CARDS! You were on a roll! And they’re all so fabulous! Thanks so much for playing along with Challenge me a Christmas Card 🙂
Love them all Therese! That cat on the sled is hilarious.
Love your cards. The snowman is fabulous. Thanks for the video.
Love this series! My favorite card is the sledding cat, and it is partly due to the very fun sentiment! Thanks for sharing!
Such a fantastic Same-But-Different-Series! I wondered how you got that wintery-glittery-frosty look on the first three cards and fell madly in love with them at first sight. That clear adhesive really makes things like this turn out so beautifully! And you make it look so easy, too, lol!!! The pond/lake scenes are adorable! I might have to try this technique…LOVE the penguin’s sentiment. Made me lol, and DH wondered what was going on in here! Wonderful video chock full of coloring tips, which I hope to put to good use later today. Awesome cards!!!!
Love each card! Your imagination and creativity amazes me!
I love this series so very much. I know you’re very busy with all your new and exciting things but this series inspires me so much. I’ve used this principle to keep my mojo going and it always works.
All of the cards are lovely, great effect.
Cheers
Lisa
These are so awesome! Love them!
Stunning array of cards featuring such adorable images. Looking forward to see the video. This is one of my favorite series.
Okay I must try that glitter technique because it’s so gorgeous!! Also I never would have thought to colour over an image like you did with the snowman – it’s looks gorgeous. And of course, you know I LOVE that sledding cat!
Clever, creative and so fun, Therese! Really enjoyed seeing how you created those frosted images, they’re brilliant … and those shaker reflections with the fun critters are so cute! As ever, always inspiring! Hugs, Anita 🙂
These are so well done. Such a simple idea, but makes such a big impression. I can’t wait to try both of these techniques. Well done.
All fabulous. I certainly can relate to the last two! In the next 7 weeks I have 4 kids birthdays + 3 of their partners (2 are also 21!), Ms 18 is going to the USA for 2 weeks and I am hosting Christmas for 45+. I’m certainly going to be “holding on” 🙂 You will forgive if my late infrequent visits come later and less frequent!
I do love them all, but the frosty ones are my favorites. 🙂
You’ve done an amazing job with all of these cards, Therese! Thanks so much for the wonderful video…I always enjoy them 🙂 So happy that you joined in Michelle’s challenge, too!
Loving the frosty glitter layer, what a great idea…. that snowman is gorgeous xx
These are fabulous. I made a few cards with the dryer sheet technique a few years ago, but these are so much more vibrant. Love them. Thank you for the video. All six cards are wonderful.
