Silhouette stamps can be a little daunting for me, and I thought I would stretch outside the ‘black ink’ silhouette today. So I have 2 cards to share and they came together very quickly and you can watch the process in the video linked below.
I used the Wildflowers Stamp and started with a tropical ombre version, you could change this up to any one of the colour combos from Altenew, the colours are already in families so there is no guess work.
I added a sympathy sentiment from the Thinking of You Stamp Set and I even stamped this in green!
My second card kinda went pear shaped for a while…. but this time I used a combination of colours to create the ombre
I did a ‘doodle’ effect to add interest and also to cover the double stamping mistake and I also added a simple sentiment from the Flower Vine Stamp Set.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

I hope you have been inspired to try some silhouette stamping today. Crafty hugs

Love your work, Therese. I do like your first card. This has given me a few ideas. Thank you 🙂
Both versions are very pretty. I love silhouette stamps!
I’m becoming more interested in silhouette stamps since I’ve seen some videos on how to use them!!! Appreciate your video. I like the way you doodled on the card to “save” it. Beautiful colors of ink. Thank you, Therese.
Love both of these. The doodling looks great and I’ve “saved” some cards by using that technique, Now I need to do it on purpose! lol!
Oh wow, these are gorgeous
The wildflowers in green are so beautiful. The greens of the Tropical Forest set are my favorite but would not have thought to use them for the wildflowers. I will be trying this soon!
I think your doodling turned just right. It makes this card special. The soft colours are perfect for this look. Maybe you should doodle more, you did this one effortlessly.
Love both of these, and that stamp set will be on my never ending list, as its so versatile! hugs XoX
whoa… so very pretty, Therese. I want to run through that field of wild flowers!
=]
Two fabulous card designs, the first is definitely one I will try out for sympathy cards, so peaceful. You did a perfect rescue doodle job on the second card, if you didn’t tell us it would have looked designed that way x
I really love the first design with the panels. I’m going to have to CASE that one, it’s simply beautiful. The second one is just simply brilliant. So beautiful and your doodles are perfection.
Beautiful cards! Thank you for sharing the designs! 🙂
Simple and lovely. Thanks for the inspiration.
Wow. It looks like the sun is shining through the foliage on the green card.
Fabulous! I too need to get out of a black silhoutte mindset. Very inspiring as always!
These are both lovely, Therese … such a deliciously different feel on each from just the one stamp! The colours are gorgeous and I love your delicate doodling to save the second one! Hugs, Anita 🙂
