Today I have a video sharing some easy ‘liquid watercolour’ flowers. It’s time for another fab release from Altenew and we are hopping along to celebrate so you should have arrived here from EMILY’s amazing Blog!
You probably already know that the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers are one of my favourite mediums to use and now I can refill them, but they are really sooo much more than that…..
I have 3 cards today starting with the background that I shared in the video linked below. The Sweet Leaf, Mountain Mist and Lagoon colours were such a pretty blend that I kept the card itself very simple.
I stamped some Wallpaper Art flowers and a very small sentiment from the Flower Vine Stamp Set.
I used Midnight Violet and Rubellite to ‘wash’ a background, and after this dried I white heat embossed a wreath from the Weekend Doodles Stamp Set.
I popped this up on a Real Gray panel which I splattered with some Antique Silver Ink Spray.
For my final card I created some liquid watercolor flowers. I heat embossed some images from the Beautiful Peony Stamp Set and added them to a Moonrock panel.
I had to add some Antique Gold Ink Spray and a heat embossed sentiment from the Inked Flora Stamp Set.

Beautiful cards Therese. Great techniques from you as usual. I think my favourite is the wreath from the Weekend Doodles set. Just love the simplicity and the sharpness of the contrasting colours.

First of all, I had to watch your video, because I would love to learn everything you have to offer. The green background card is so simple and yet so stunning, it took my breath away. These pens are amazing in their color richness, but they are so versatile with the refills and the way we can use them to create softer shades too. These are all beautiful. I love all three and It’s good to know that the Bristol card stock held up so well to the water. Your technique of dropping the colors onto the wet surface probably helped keep the paper from pilling!

I love watching you create with the Altenew markers. I have Zig markers and I do love them. That being said, the colors here seem much more vibrant, and I love that. I may just have to get these refills and do some playing… as always, love what you do…
