I just had to play some more with the new release stamps from Ellen Hutson and today I wanted to share the Lil’ ‘Squatch Stamp Set in a video. Did you see that I was recently part of the Blog Hop HERE to celebrate the release and you can check out the cards and video that I made for that.
Firstly, I am going to start with a very CAS Mondo Chrysanthemum card. I did a cheat, I created a sneaky die cut mask from copy paper to quickly mask the flower so I could add the leaves ‘behind’ the flowers.
I heat embossed the sentiments from Totally Random Sayings Vol 3 before I added colour with the Life Changing Blender Brushes.
My second card creates a Scene! And I have a video linked below sharing the process. This Lil’ ‘Squatch stamp Set is such fun and you can see my non interactive swing card….
I also used an upside down rainbow from the Over It Stamp Set to make a hammock and a speech bubble sentiment.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

Have I told you just how much I adore the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios.… I would never have been able to achieve the blending in both cards today without them!…. seriously lol.
Have you been ‘blending’ lately? Wink!

You were very clever to turn a rainbow into a hammock. The scene worked out so well. Fun card.
Beautiful cards, and brilliant way to make a rainbow into a hammock!
Wow Therese what a fabulous scene you created here. So cleverly layed out. Enjoyed watching this one.
Awesome cards!! Love the designs! 🙂
Never would have thought to make coloured sentiment strips in this way. Would have probably coloured the paper first, then embossed the sentiment. Love the cloudy sky you created with the blending brushes in the outdoor scene. They give a really smooth effect. Thanks again for sharing your terrific techniques with us.
Great pair of cards. That new mondo stamp set and I love the simplicity of your design.
It just pops off the card.
Your scene card is delightful and the video is great.
Thanks so much.
Cheers
Lisa
Really great cards
Wonderful ‘Lil Squatch card! I like how you started with one idea and it changed along the way to a better idea! A hammock! He does look relaxed and those big feet are adorable! Monroe flower is spectacular too!
a rainbow?? you clever girl… I would never have guessed – but I’m sure going to watch you weave it into a hammock! Gorgeous colors, and genius design, Therese! xx
=]
I love both of these cards! Lil’ squatch is so cute!
BTW, your blog hop link just brings me to a WordPress login screen…
Thanks so much for letting me know, I’ll fix it asap!
Adorable!
Such a great scene! How fun to see those two having fun in the forest! How clever to create that hammock! Your mondo flower card is gorgeous with those bright sentiment strips. You and I both refrained from shading our line art recently – we’re showing great restraint!
So fun! I’ve been reading – knocked over 2 books this week – so I am way behind on visiting!
I love how you created the hammock. You are super clever. And of course I would have just used coloured cs for the first one! 😉
I have done some blending and used 1 thing from my “new” pile. I have 1 brush from Daiso I think I need to get more it really is easier and smoother than a sponge or dauber. And after using a brush at Paperific a few months back I can’t tell the difference between my cheapy and the more expensive one!
