It’s been coming for a while and today it’s official, I’ve run out of masculine cards in my stash lol. So that means it’s time for another Cards 4 Men video and today I share some Real Time colouring and a bit more.
I have a few basic rules for my masculine card designs and this one is certainly a lot ‘busier’ than my typical style. But I also usually like to have a fun element and today i used the Katzelkraft Rat to push the ’60’ off the cliff!
I added a great sentiment from Stamplorations from a set called A Snarky Birthday to You and a blended Mini Cloud background (classic!).
But the focus was really on the Copic ocean that I coloured and you can watch it come together in the video linked below. I was inspired by this fabulous video HERE.

Do you ‘run out’ of masculine cards like me? I have thought about this problem a lot and it’s not that I don’t like to make men’s cards, because I do, maybe it’s because I prefer to make cards for women…. flowers, glitter, bling what’s not to love!

You are not alone there seems to be so many more girly cards in my stash than male ones probably because I have more girly themed stamps/dies/glitter etc and we are a female dominated house! I am hoping to get some crafty time in post christmas – I have a few new parcels this week which include some masculine themed sets (presents for myself!) 😉
Now while I tidy my desk top so I can get on with some card making I am going to watch your video to see how you created that cool ocean.

Fantastic! The man card is my 2nd most difficult to make following child cards. This is amazing. Love everything aobut this card.
I never thought about how difficult a ‘child’ card can be… and I feel that the toddlers are more challenging perhaps… more food for thought lol.

Oh my gosh!! what a fun and fabulous card Therese!!! I love, LOVE the Katzelkraft critters and this set is one of my favorites. I have a Triathlon friend who has received quite a few birthday cards made with these rats, he loves them all.
Your ocean is spectacular and so is the sky, that is one fabulous stencil.
The sentiment is hilarious, I don’t have any sets with funny quotes like this one and I need to make a sincere effort to make more masculine cards, especially now that all the little boys I knew are now strapping young men, sigh!!

Love this card design, just the sort my dad would find funny, brilliant video, thank you for doing it in real time as I learn so much. I mix my markers too, copic, spectrum noir, pro markers & altenew.x
I agree, it’s all about the colour with the markers, though I only have the Artist markers and Copics, I have always been tempted to try the others (but tell myself that I don’t ‘need’ any more lol.)
