haha, now we are all looking silly wearing our sunglasses inside, but deep down inside I already knew that you were the cool kids in school!

But seriously though, this Take 2 is very magical and it’s all thanks to the Magic Burst Hot Foil Plate. But don’t run away if you are not a fan of hot foiling, there is so much more to these cards!

I want to give you as many options and ideas to use this plate, because lets face it is an investment, but, it’s also beautiful.

Idea #1 – Blended Ink Background

I couldn’t resist an ombre blended background over top of the Magic Burst. And yes, I used Neenah 80lb cardstock (no special cardstock required).

But, the Hot Foil shine wasn’t enough, I just had to add some Antique Gold Embossed images from the Dazzling Dahlia Set.

I wanted to add colour with the Artist Markers, but they are not friends with embossing. What to do?
BONUS TIP: Stamp your images in a light coloured ink using a stamp positioner. Then, colour your images with alcohol markers and restamp them with Embossing Ink and add the powder and heat as usual.

Idea #2 – Focal Point

I wanted to change things up a little with my next card. I was able to die-cut the blended Magic Burst to create a focal point. This gave me a great base to stack all of my images together in a cluster to create a clean and simple design.

I added some beautiful hot foiled Sweet Sentiments to both cards. But, did you know that the Sweet Sentiments Die Set has both the words and border dies… so you don’t have to have a Hot Foil system to use it!
