Getting Back to BASICS with GINGHAM – You Can’t go Wrong!

Do you like Gingham? This is my final inspiration using gingham… but, did you see what else I made?

Check them out here!
Have you seen my gingham ideas using the recent release at Ellen Hutson? I shared a gingham card using a modern masculine style, which you can see HERE. Next was a gingham critter idea which you can see HERE and then what to do with ‘leftover’ gingham HERE and also a die cut background HERE … so what is it all about today?

Gingham Idea #5 – Basic Background!

PRO TIP: To make the background I used the Skinny Stripes Stamp, it’s a huge background that creates ‘gingham’ in just 2 stamps!

You really can’t go wrong with a gingham background. Here, it just helps to add that little something extra to a very clean and simple card. I used the Classic Alpha Dies to create my sentiment, but you can use whatever sentiments you have!

and I did also add a cute little chick from the Sweet Spring Combo… seriously, I couldn’t help myself lol.

BONUS IDEA: Why not personalise the design by adding a name or age?

This is my final ‘gingham’ design in this series. I hope you have enjoyed this inspiration and are inspired to try creating something with ‘gingham’. I’ll be back real soon, Crafty hugs,

  1. Therese, these have been by far the sweetest signs of Spring I’ve seen this year! LOve your gingham and that cute little chickie!
    =]

  2. Thank goodness I saved a stack of gingham papers! The themes you have used with gingham are perfect!

    1. the Gingham pattern is a classic to me and I could never throw them out either. I am so happy you were inspired, hope you have fun creating Christy!

  3. Fabulous! of course you made all your own gingham paper! perhaps I can kill two birds with one stone so to say and use up some of my paper stash 😉 I really love the blue/white combo.
