Do you have to use ‘black ink’ to outline an image? Today I thought it would be fun to change it up a little…

Are you like me? Typically I always head to my trusty black inks to stamp the outlines and sentiments on my cards. Now, don’t get me wrong, I adore my black inks but sometimes it’s nice just to change it up a little and there is no black to be seen on my card at all! This is the new Sketched Florals Bundle from Altenew and isn’t it pretty!
The great thing about using the Altenew combo ink sets is that it’s easy to work out which colours coordinate perfectly and I just stamped my images in one of the lighter colours from the sets and then chose the darker inks for the outline. Easy Peasy!
PRO TIP: Why not try mixing it up like I did, I stamped leaves from 2 different ink sets, and I think the blue green, and green worked well together.
I added a simple die cut sentiment from the Versatile Greetings 2 Die Set and yes, in true form for today I have used the Brushed Gold cardstock (instead of black). I’m feeling very proud of myself.

What a great idea to stamp in a darker color than the body of the flower, Therese. I do tend to stamp in black or once in a while dark gray but your flowers are lovely in the darker color in the set of inks.
