Idea #1 – Large Poinsettia Background
Get the look of a layered floral design without the bulk! I used the Festive Poinsettia Stamp and by adding colour by ink blending with the coordinating Stencils this kept the card to an almost one-layer design which is perfect for posting!

I took it a little step further and added some extra dimension with some simple pencil shading using colours that were similar to the inks. I stamped the outline with green ink, in a no-line style and added a hot foiled sentiment directly to the panel.

The second card is very similar but came together even faster because I used Ivory cardstock for the base which saved on one layer of blending.

I also changed it up by gold heat embossing the outline before I blended the leaves. Both cards had a sprinkling of sequins for the centres.
PRO TIP: To make these cards, even more post-friendly, colour the flower centres with a gold gel pen instead of adding the sequins. You can also adhere the die-cut sentiment directly to the card front without popping it up.

Idea #2 – Die Cut Poinsettia!
One of my ALL time favourite dies and every year I keep coming back to it, but I think it’s the first time I have added ‘striped’ leaves in the background… I think it really changes up the look of this flower and gives it a very modern feel.

To keep that modern feel, I added a simple large bold stamped sentiment.

Next I wanted to share a totally different look using the same die set. This time I wanted to share a more traditional style card. I die cut the Poinsettia with crepe paper, I love the soft feel that it gives and how much it changes the final look.

This time I added a Brushed Gold die-cut sentiment which almost has a ‘retro’ feel.

Idea #3 – 3D Embossing Folder!
Another fave! I wanted to give this embossing folder a modern look. So I used some more Ivory cardstock and a bold heat embossed sentiment. It was as simple as that!

This card would be perfect to create multiples and batch it out!
BONUS IDEA: If you don’t have a large stamp sentiment to use, why not die-cut some gold cardstock to create your own.

I adore my Christmas stamps and love to make the most of them throughout the years so sadly not every set that I have used today is still available. I will link what I can or find similar where possible, if you use my links (at no extra cost to you) I say a HUGE thank you for your support of my channel. Thanks for shining a light on the beautiful ways to use them!
=]
Ooh, can’t wait to check out your post my friend x
Brilliant cards. That poinsettia die is my all time favourite too. There’s just something about it, it’s elegant and modern and a little bit quirky. The feeling festive is my favourite card. Just love itâ¤ï¸
I just keep going back to it time and again!
Wow! Thanks for that video. I am In love with the first two cards. I have always loved cream colored poinsettias. I am going to pick the first card as your favorite which is my favorite. You are one of the few card makers who use the correct term— bracts. We botany people appreciate that!
I do absolutely love that card but weirdly, it turned out to be the modern ‘feelin’ festive’ card that won for me today lol. Thank you for your lovely visit here today Linda!
I’m over the moon for your beautiful creamy white poinsettias! What a fun mix of ideas you’ve given us. These are all marvelous cards, Therese!
So happy you liked these, thank you very much!
Gorgeous! The first two are my favs!
So glad you like these Vicki!
