#NOTECARDSET

LOVE these Zero-Waste dies from Altenew, because, with just one crank of the die cutting machine I have a TON of leaves and berries… but, why stop there, I decided to crank it twice and create a notecard set using these glorious die cut elements.

I die cut them in white and then added some simple ink blending in some pretty orange, blue and green tones. This is a very fast way to add colour and create a stack of images ready to use real quick!

Idea #1 – Embossing Paste Stencil Background

If you saw my last release post (HERE), I promised myself I was going to use this beautiful embossing paste MORE, and here is the proof. I created a quick stencil background, and the added shimmer, texture and pattern, really helps elevate this simple design.

I used the berries and branches to make a focal point, and I sealed the deal with a wax seal!

When I make a notecard set, I like to keep elements and colours similar throughout. For example, all of the cards have the same colour scheme and I used sentiments from just one die set too.

Idea # 2 – Add some Flowers

I had a few ‘left-over’ leaves, so instead of adding them to my pile of UFO’s I thought it better to use them straight away.

There weren’t enough to make a focal point, but by adding a few simple blended flowers (using the same tones), it made for a card full of pretty!

BONUS TIP: Don’t have enough elements to make a full card design? Simply die cut the branches and berries one more time, but leave the elements as white cardstock. These can be easily added to any bouquet to bulk it out very quickly, and still have a fairly clean and simple look.

Idea #3 – Embossing Folder

This is the other focal point that I created, initially I was going to cover the whole centre of the card, but my cleaner and simpler brain won out again, and I kept the sentiment in the centre with the focal point to the left side.

This beautiful embossing folder got a quick swipe of Blueberry to add a little something extra, but it would have looked fabulous had it just been white instead.

These cards are all different but there is a definite theme tying them all together to make a quick and beautiful notecard set. Now, if you want to make 6 cards, why not repeat each of these designs a second time and change up the sentiments to make the set more versatile for the lucky person who receives it!
