#FULLSHAKERS
Interactive cards are always fun, and shakers are a fan favorite. But have you ever made a full card shaker? This Christmas Cracker Shaker certainly knows how to shake it! Ready for some tips?
Tips for a Full Card Shaker
- Go Big! A full card shaker is super fun and interactive, filling the entire card front with sequins or confetti.
- Ready-made or DIY – you can buy products designed for full card shakers, or adapt using clear packaging like acetate sheets or plastic envelopes.
- Keep it Festive – choose bright and colorful confetti to match your card theme.
- Secure the Edges – use strong tape or adhesive to keep the shaker elements in place without leaking.
- Add Interest – layering a background or adding stamped/die cut elements behind the shaker or adhered to the front panel can also add interest to the design.
Card Spotlight: Christmas Cracker Shaker
A full card shaker gives plenty of room to really play, so I went all out! I die cut multiple colors of confetti and swirls and added some sequins.
I even stamped small dots of confetti stars on the back panel in different colors and adhered some confetti to the front, so when the card is standing and all the shaker bits settle at the bottom, there’s still visual interest behind the main cracker element.

BONUS IDEA: Crackers aren’t just for Christmas! This design works for celebrating a New Year, a special birthday, or any occasion that deserves a little festive fun.

And that’s my take on turning a classic Christmas Cracker into a full card shaker! I had so much fun creating this one, and I hope it gives you some inspiration to shake things up with your own holiday cards.

I have made full shaker cards before and this one is so much fun, Therese. I love the idea of adding some of the shaker bits to the front of the acetate.
It’s usually the shaker bits that fell out onto the desk when I am filling that get stuck to the front lol.
Your card is a party, Therese! and a very fun one at that!
=]
Yep, you are invited!
