Lots of Hugs

Hello again, I really have been here a lot lately, but when the mojo’s going who am I to fight it!  Okay, so I have a confession.  Hands up if you have ever done anything this stupid, I gave away the card before I took the photo!  So, this is actually the second version, hurridly put together so I could join the challenges.  You should have seen the look on my face whilst scrolling through my digital photos…   I had already written the post and made the inlinkz, and I thought I had taken the photo!

I made this for my boss who recently had surgery,  I was hoping to cheer her up a little.   I know that October Afternoon papers cheer me up…  well there is a theory there somewhere…

Also, I am pleased to be able to play with one of my fave challenges CASE Study where the Muse this month is Jen Rzasa, whoa there is some major talent there!  I have also decided to join The Punches Challenge in the Moxie Fab World,  hello Martha Stewart’s All Over the Page gorgeous Butterfly Punch!!

Training Wheels?

Just a quick post today.   Here is a card I made for one of my husband’s workmates who is recovering after a motorcycle accident.  I have used the colours from the Play Date Cafe for inspiration. Not the best photo, I was rushed and the card has already gone…  and it looks more red than rust, anyway you get the idea!  I also have a picture of a rosella that was hanging out in our garden, we truly have some beautiful birds here in Australia.  Thanks for visiting, hope you had a nice weekend!

Thinking of You

I want to know which gene it is that makes men think they are invincible!  Today I had the perfect (card making) day planned….  basically catch up on everything that I am currently behind on.  Anyway that was hijacked by my (awesome) husband.  It started with a walk along the beach, which was a nice treat but now the remainder of the day has become quite stressful… holding the ladder while he paints the high ceilings and walls on our stairway on the oldest ladder known to man, perched on slippery sheets…   it goes on.  Luckily,  he updated his life insurance recently, obviously I am a little nervous, you see I only have one husband and I quite like him really!

Anyway onto my card.  Yippee, I finally made a card to help Less Is More with there current 1000 card challenge where anything goes, what a fab idea!  I have also used the colours from the current Play Date Cafe 100th Challenge, I was not going to miss this one either!  I’ve made this card for one of my husbands workmates who has recently had surgery for cancer, just to let him know that we are thinking of him.

This is a card I made for a work colleague who has had major surgery, just to let him know that we are all thinking about him & hopefully put a little smile on his face.  This is a pre-coloured downloaded image (from a card program) that I just topped up with one of my favourtie things… Copics.  I loved the recent  Clean & Simple sketch sooo much that I thought it was a perfect opportunity to use it again!

I always delay making male cards for as long as possible – but when I think about it they are quite simple.  Maybe it’s the lack of glitter, butterflies, flowers, bows…  the things that find their way onto most of my cards.  Anyway this is a card for one of my husbands workmates, wishing him all the best in his recovery.  I used inspiration from the current Gray is the New Black Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, perfect for that male card!
