Hello, I’m back with a very bright cheery ‘Blooms’ card for Purple Onion Designs. It’s not very often, but today I chose not to use a sentiment on this card…. very daring of me.
Welcome back! Today I have another card for Purple Onion Designs blog, it’s a clean & simple design using these fun birds and stitches. Does it get any funner than this?
I decided to film as I created so you can watch it if you like.
Don’t forget, you still have time to celebrate and SAVE 25% off ALL stamps at Purple Onion Designs!
Back with a slightly different card today, I don’t often play with my Distress Inks (because that would mean that I would get ‘ink’ on my fingers…. oh gosh!) but today I had ink everywhere and had heaps of fun too.
This summer marks 11 years of Purple Onion Designs Stamps! And to celebrate you get to enjoy 25% off ALL stamps until Sunday, August 31, 2014. You can head on over to the Purple Onion Designs blog and see heaps of fabulous inspiration but for me today I have kept it real clean and simple….. lotsa white space!

In class today I’ve had some fun with Jennifer Rzasa’s Altered Messages techique and I thought that Avery Elle’s Handwritten Notes stamp set was perfect… sooo many options! Anyhoo I made myself some tall birds because I think those long legs are just too cute and added some glitter for fun.

Today I thought I would get out the Inktense pencils as they have a little neglected since the whole ‘watercolour’ love affair began, but really aren’t they just another form of watercolouring… so I had a thought, can I get the same light airy look with these pencils? Initially I found Inktense a little intimidating but they really are quite easy to use and it’s great because if you are not happy with the result you can always wait for it to dry and add more colour! I really like how it turned out. I filmed as I went so you can watch the process.

Today it’s time for some simple colouring using Prismacolor Pencils. These are one of my favourite ways to add colour to images as they are really very easy to use and really it’s as simple as adding and mixing colour until your happy. I thought I would film while I made this card so here it is.
