Do you want some fun modern ways to add Plaid to your Christmas Card designs? Today I have 6 cards to share with you doing just that! Welcome back to my Same But Different Christmas Card Series for 2020! But before I start, did you know that I used to ‘Highland Dance’….
I know it’s meant to be a goose, but I wanted a duck and cause it’s yellow it’s a duck… now. I had so much fun creating my little ‘old school’ storybook scene and when you want a little simple shading then Prisma’s are my go to choice. You can find this card over at The Alley Way Stamps Blog. And while I’m here you may have already heard that TAWS is sadly closing it’s doors, but that means that you can buy their fun stamps at an incredible 40% discount, so head on over!
Other Supplies: Stamps – The Alley Way Stamps – Just Ducky. Prismacolor Pencils – Goldenrod, Sunburst Yellow, Canary Yellow. Paper Pad – Echo Park – Jack & Jill. White felt.
Oh I do so love this sweet little elephant, and how cute, framed up in her MFT’s stitched squares. I was lucky enough to have this little cutie published with the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine where the call was to ‘create a scene’…. perfect.

I’ll be back in a couple of days with another video share, look forward to seeing you then!
Today on my Colour with ‘U’ video I’m playing with my newish Dove blender pen and this time I tried using some simple watercolour pencils and it was a breeze! I’ve also been having some die cutting sentiment fun and thought it would be a great card to use it on.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend planned. I’m so excited as we are heading up to Cairns to visit some friends, so don’t miss me too much!
Other Supplies: White Felt. Avery Elle – More Stories Watercolor Pencils – Faber Castell

From here you are heading to the Scrapbook Boutique Blog, thanks for joining us, it’s been heaps of fun!
One of my fave techniques for sure and especially with this sweet die, I really like how this card turned out and was lucky to have it published with the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine. You may notice that I’m a little underground at present… we are camping at the beach (sorry for you guys in the snow, I know it’s cruel).
