Today I have a video sharing one of the Daniel Smith Dot Charts… but first, did you know that we are celebrating Mother’s atEllen Hutson as it’s nearly Mother’s Day and we need to get those cards in the mail!
I bought this Dot Chart (a while ago, oops….) and I have finally got round to trying it out and in a nutshell, I just loved the colours and the way that the paints went down onto the cardstock, this may not be a good thing really, cause now, I may need more lol.
I started by stamping out the Mondo Succulent Pot with Fadeout Ink so I could do a ‘no line’ technique.
The sentiment came from the Succulent Sentiments Set which of course coordinates perfectly.
And for a bit of sparkle I added some Glitter Pen and some Clear Droplets.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.

Wow Therese! That looks so amazing! I know for a fact that succulents are not as easy as you made that look (well at least for me anyway!) Love this!
Therese, this is exquisite … so happy to see this exquisite image in your very talented hands! xx

Wow! Just . . . WOW!!!
Absolutely stunning! Such beautiful colouring. Perfect card.
Beautiful card. Love the coloring.
Oh. Em. Gee. Love this one! What a difference the good stuff makes!😉 thanks so much. 💕
This is so lovely! I have some of these dot charts but I haven’t used them hardly at all. Maybe it’s time to get them out and play around.
Beautiful. I have this set, and I have tried twice to watercolor…once I did give up. The second time I persisted, and got a passable piece. It’s a lot tougher than I thought. But thank you for this video that inspired me to keep trying!!
I’d be thrilled to receive this card for mother’s day! Your mums going to love it. The cards just gorgeous and I loved watching you to create it.
Cheers
Lisa

Take care and stay healthy and safe.
Sending love and cyber hugs.

Great results! I love how you use the glazing technique with “no line” painting. Such depth and realism! You have a wonderful eye for color. GORGEOUS!
So soft and subtle!
I have got my NBUS to fit in the tub yeah! still a way to go – Oh and I didn’t put it in a bigger tub 😉
Amazing, Therese … the sense of depth and dimension you created on the succulents and the tiled floor is awesome … this is just gorgeous! If you consider yourself a beginner with watercolour, goodness only knows where that leaves me … prehistoric p’raps!! Hugs, Anita 🙂
Stunning!

I like the finished painting and your tip to just keep going even if you don’t like the look.
Oh wow! This one is just full of beautiful technique. So pretty.
