Have you got any cardstock scraps left? Today I put 3 of my techniques to the test….
I have been on kick to USE up my scraps and if you have been on this journey with me you already know that I have MORE than 16 ideas for you. You can see all the details HERE, HERE and HERE (including links to the YouTube videos where you can see them come together (much faster than in real life 🤣)
Idea #1 – Layering Dies
Last time I used flowers which you can see HERE. So this time one of the Swallowtail Butterflies from Altenew became the star of the show.
I stamped a line art background using the Courageous You bouquet and added a Bold Sentiment.
Idea #2 – Paper Piecing
Last time I added a dressing gown to a fox HERE. This time I used the Clever Sausage set from Ellen Hutson and I think the rainbow tartan makes a perfect coat for this cool puppy.
I added a High Five speech bubble with a Groovy sentiment from Trippin‘.
Idea #3 – Add Texture
I copied a similar card that I made HERE. But this time it’s for the girls.
I added a simple sentiment from the Concord & 9th set called Just Saying Dies.

The way I like to use my scraps is to “weave” the thin strips horizontally and vertically. Turns out every time! 🙂
PS- you have your air conditioner on, we still have snow on the ground!

I hadn’t until I did this series recently and I can’t remember why not. It’s such a fun technique!
Amazing cards! I love the line art with the butterfly such a bold and dynamic design and oh so classy. The hot dog is just a cutie love the paper piecing and the third is sublime,fantastic texture and beautiful pastels.
