Rainbow Butterfly Card with a Bold Leafy Background!

Black and white doesn’t have to mean boring.

If you enjoyed my first Rainbow Butterfly Card idea, I’ve got another design to share with you today – this time with a bold leafy background and just one colourful focal butterfly.

But first, let’s take a quick look at the cards together.

Black and white is one of my favourite starting points for a card design. It creates instant contrast and lets even the smallest touch of colour shine.

Card Inspiration – Rainbow Butterfly Card

To build that bold foundation, I pulled out a very old favourite – the Leaf Canopy stamp set – and stamped silhouette leafy sprigs in black. The strong, graphic background creates movement without overwhelming the design.

I kept the rule of three in mind again… but instead of three butterflies, I used two white flowers and one rainbow butterfly.

The single pop of color on the rainbow butterfly naturally draws the eye, while the white elements keep the design feeling modern and balanced.

I hope this Rainbow Butterfly Card inspires you to play with contrast in your own cardmaking. If you give it a try, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
