A quick share today of some sweet little Avery Elle rainbow honey bears. This was a card that was accepted for publication with the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine recently.
treat – Detailtreat
Til next time, which should be real soon!
Other Supplies: Copics R02,22. Y1,13,21,38. YG00,03. B000,02,24,95. BV00,02.
Today’s technique for Scrapbook Boutique is a simple one, embossing with dies. And what better die to choose than a Wonky stitched one from MFT! I decided to film as I created so you can watch the process.
Hiya, today I’m back by request as I was asked ‘how’ I created this Gelato background here. It was heaps of fun to do and not ‘too messy’ for my precious hands. Not sure how it happened but the front panel ended up taking over, although I do still like that the texture and colour that shows around the edge.
I wanted to make a card for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and I knew my mother would adore this Summer Love image from Penny Black, therefore the happy couple have my Mum’s red hair and my Dad’s dark brown… although it hasn’t been that for a long time lol. They are both amazing people and I am so lucky to have them in my life, BIG hugs and congrats to you both x.
Other Supplies: Gesso. Distress Ink – Cracked Pistachio. Distress Markers – Barn Door / Pumice Stone / Abandoned Coral / Ripe Persimmon / Gathered Twigs / Peeled Paint / Picked Raspberry / Tumbled Glass / Salty Ocean. Gelato – Acqua Dolce / Black Licorice / Squid Ink.
Today I’m at the Altenew Blog and I LoVe getting more bang for my buck and I especially love those little light bulb moments when you see something that can be used for something else… Anyhoo, you’ll see what I am talking about in my video.
Today for the Scrapbook Boutique blog, I decided to add some ‘wool’ to this cute Mama Elephant sheep. And if you would like to find out how? I filmed the process so you could watch,
Back with one of my fave series (and one of my fave ways to increase my masculine cards in my stash), and this time the focus is using ‘images’ on masculine cards! Today I thought I would start with this fun set from Waffle Flower called Tiger & Lily, and without further ado, let the series begin.
This was one of those cards that started in one direction and turned so many corners, to me it kinda looks CAS but it seriously has lots of layers going on. I filmed as I created so you can see the process for yourself.
Even though I have used the sentiment from this set before I had not yet stamped and coloured this girl, so I would like to share her over at Darnell’s NBUS Challenge #6.
I’ve linked the stamp below, but you can also find it at Penny Black.
When I saw this double sided foam tape from Scrapbook Adhesives I thought it would be fun to add some flocking and after searching my stash (because I knew that I had some somewhere…) I simply just played. I filmed the process so you could watch, and today you can also find me over at the Altenew Blog.
I had to think just a little today at Scrapbook Boutique, as I wanted to take the ‘easy way out’ to do this multi-masking CAS design… I used the MISTI (love!) and some Inkadinkadoo stamping mask paper…. well, if you watch the video, you’ll see what I mean.
I was lucky to be asked to join the Avery Elle ‘Geek Love’ Stamper’s Challenge for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine. This is an uber cute stamp set and I (heart) the matching die set too!
Here are the two cards that I made, I think I was trying to channel my ‘inner’ Laura Bassen on the little girl card, for some reason lately I’ve been avoiding blending, so here I thought I would give it a try Doublestick Heaven style… and I still have a ways to go lol, thanks for the inspiration Laura!
Why is it that as my girly stash of cards grows every day and the masculine one dwindles… couldn’t we just give the girly cards to the guys, we all know they hardly even look at them (except for our other halves of course who know just how much money – maybe… we spend and wouldn’t dare not to have just one ooh or aaah when they open their card) lol!
Today I made one for the stash, it’s for Scrapbook Boutique and using some fab Mama Elephant products, I filmed as I created so that you could watch the process.
One of my fave colouring techniques with Prismas is using them direct to design paper, and today I felt like colouring so I did just that! I decided to film as I created so you can watch the process.
Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – White, Black, Eggshell, Pale Sage, Kelly Green, Goldenrod, Blush Pink, Process Red, Peach Beige, Chocolate, French Grey 70%. Paper Pad – Crate Paper Maggie Holmes. Wink of Stella – Clear. Glass Seed Beads – Gold (00557)
Today I have a video to share a real quick and easy way to add some watercolour stripes to your background, otherwise a very simple design and some fun colours for a little boy’s who is turning One!
I had so much fun making this set of matching cards that I actually made a similar set at Christmas (with a video and you can find the link HERE). I’ve been wanting to challenge myself to this for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine and when I saw this collection (and it’s an Australian designer) I was sold. Isn’t it uber sweet. So enough talking because there is a mass of photos to follow! And NO stamping either….
Now it’s time for something a little bit busier as there’s been waaay too much clean & simple going on round here. The Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine had a call for ‘multiple’ masking and I’m not saying that I went overboard (but I came close), I think I was trying to channel my inner Sandy Allnock creating a scene with my Copics, she is such an amazing inspiration! ps Stoked to say this card made the cover.
Hello – DetailHello
I’ll be back in a couple of days with another CAS video, I look forward to seeing you again then.

Happy Birthday to my sister and Happy New Year to you all!
My sister has an owl fixation and this year for her birthday her card had to include an owl, of course. So out came this little cutie from Mama Elephant and I just love how he stamped out in orange. I filmed as I created so you can watch the process.
Hope you’ve had fun this New Years and that you’re head is not too sore… I would just like to take a moment to thank every one of you for your visits and supportive comments , it really does mean so much to me. I would also like to wish you an absolutely wonderful 2016, may there be lots of smiles and laughter! Big New Years Hugs to you,
Did you survive Christmas? Hope the big fella was good to you and there were some crafty goodies involved. Today is a quick post and something very non-Christmassy, because aren’t we glad that that’s all done for yet another year lol. I love this fun set of stamps and I think they are perfect for a ‘boy’ card, although I did add a little stickles glitter to the top of the party hat, not too ‘girly’ I hope…

Hope you are finding some time to have fun (and get crafty) this holiday season, I have the pleasure of working night duty so not much excitement around here, but thank goodness for air conditioning!
Today at Scrapbook Boutique it’s a Gold Rush….. well, using Prima’s Glass Glitter called ‘Gold Rush’, is that the same? Lots of glittery fun anyway and filmed for your enjoyment!
