From here you are heading to the Scrapbook Boutique Blog, thanks for joining us, it’s been heaps of fun!
Other Supplies:
I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2016 March release and blog hop, if you arrived here from Anna Kossakovskaya’s blog you are exactly where you should be. Today we will be releasing 2 4″x6″ stamp sets, 9 2″x3″ stamp sets, 21 dies, 6 papers, 12 inks, and a set of acrylic blocks.
My card today uses the butterfly image from Altenew’s Ori Kami stamp set and the exciting news is that now there are matching dies!
I decided to go for a watercolour look, firstly I stamped out and painted the butterflies, then I could easily die cut multiple butterflies from some stamp masking paper. Then I masked off each image and painted my watercolour around them, I really like the little border that it leaves behind when the mask is taken away.
Prizes:
To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away $50 gift certificate to three lucky winners. Please leave a comment on the Altenew blog for your chance to win! You have until Friday March 18th to leave your comments.
Also I will randomly choose a winner from the comments left on this post (only one per person) to win a $30 gift certificate to the Altenew online store, you have until midnight Friday March 18th (AEST) and I will announce the winner here on my blog.
As I am the last hop on the blog it’s back to Altenew so that you can leave your comment for your chance to win. Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have had a blast on this hop!
Edited to add GIVEAWAY WINNER!
Congratulations Lai-Yoke, Please email Altenew at winner@altenew.com to claim your prize with a subject line :March 2016 Release winner from Therese’s Blog

I had so much fun making this set of matching cards that I actually made a similar set at Christmas (with a video and you can find the link HERE). I’ve been wanting to challenge myself to this for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine and when I saw this collection (and it’s an Australian designer) I was sold. Isn’t it uber sweet. So enough talking because there is a mass of photos to follow! And NO stamping either….
thanks for visiting,
Other Supplies: Versamagic Ink – Wheat
When the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine asked if I wanted to be part of a Stamper’s Challenge that involved me playing with Altenew’s Painted Butterflies I couldn’t reply ‘Yes’ quick enough lol. And I wasn’t disappointed, I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed getting all inky with these stamps, they are Brilliant!
Hugs,
You Inspire Me – Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils Powder Blue, Light Cerulean Blue.

Keeping it real simple for this month’s entry to Avery Elle’s Embossing challenge, in fact it’s just a little difficult to see the embossed part of my card, but it’s those fabulous double pierced rectangles that I can’t get enough of and I used one of these to create a subtle border for my scene.
And can you see I have the new Amazing die too, soo happy and loving it in gold, Jamie & the AE team are ‘Amazing’ my goodies arrived to Australia in record time and they are nothing but fantastic to deal with. I was lucky enough to win last month’s challenge and had fun spending my winnings and more (wink)!
Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – Cream, Espresso, French Grey 20, 50%, Pale Sage, Chocolate, Peach Beige, Peach, Dark Brown, Deco Pink, Goldenrod.

I have a really quick publication share tonight as I’m totally enjoying my holidays and haven’t even had a chance to make any cards yet! I also just got back from a visit to my brother and SIL in Gladstone (only a 8 hour drive away) but it was so nice to see them, we ate way too much they have the best Indian restaurant across the road and to be honest it’s worth the drive lol.
So I thought I would share this publication for The Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine where I was asked to use one die… four ways and this is what I came up with using some fab MFT products (my apologies in advance for the photo heavy post).
Hopefully I get some home time now and you might see some new cards, but I pick up my new Scooter tomorrow so I might actually be out with the wind in my hair instead.

Hello there, time for some butterfly triangles at Muse today and I had so much fun making this card… but I also have a couple of other ideas, what would it look like with all the butterfly triangles popped up? or I was thinking maybe some glossy accents just over the butterfly itself to add dimension?
I can’t wait to see how this inspires you!

So as easy as this looks, I totally struggled with this… so after much debate I ended up using the butterflies and the teal colour for my inspiration. Looking at how CAS my card is there shouldn’t have been a struggle at all lol.
