Would you like 6 Same but Different Sentiment Ideas for your Christmas cards? Today I have a LOT of inspiration for you and we are getting all ‘Sentiment’al’!
Welcome to my Christmas card series for 2021! To kick things off I am using the new release from Ellen Hutson and my focus is ‘Sentiments’. Starting with…..
1. Sentiment Backgrounds.

This first card uses a blended tone on tone stamped background. I used the Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set and held my breath while I stamped with an acrylic block.

Then I masked and coloured this sweet bear image from All Wrapped Up.

My second design uses a background sentiment stamp called Fa La La. But this time I heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.

I added some stamped flowers from the Holiday Sprigs set as well as a sentiment from Tag It.

2. Focal Sentiments.

A large sentiment can really be the main focus on a card. But for this first design I used it to hang a stocking full of fun from the Sweet Surprises Stamp Set.

The card still looks very clean and simple although there are quite a few elements in it.

My second design has the focal sentiment from Sending Holiday Cheer heat embossed on coloured cardstock.

And this time I added some simple die cut Snowflakes scattered around the edges.

3. Play on Words.

My final technique uses images to create ‘words’. Can you guess the first one?

It is Christmas ‘Spirit’ lol! And I used the images from Cup of Cheer.

The words were die cut from the Tall N Skinny Alpha Die Set.

And finally another ‘Cup’ of Cheer!

You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube.
I hope that you were inspired to use Sentiments on your Christmas cards and if you are inspired to try some of these ideas I love it if you’d tag me so that I can see what you create! Big Christmassy hugs,

Thanks so very much Lisa, I really enjoy creating this series and challenging myself to stretch out an idea or supplies, it’s totally fun. Happy to hear that it’s appreciated too!
My goodness, Therese. Holy moley! Gorgeous cards. I love polar bears and that polar bear tree is adorable, but GIRL……..the Navy blue card! I want to rub my hand over that gorgeous embossing on the background! Well done, my friend. 💜
Thanks so very much Marisela, they were such fun to create!
Such variety. Love that you created such different designs. I think the last two are such clever cards. The Christmas spirit is just THE perfect male card and I love simplicity of the cup of cheer. Wouldn’t that card be well received by someone feeling a little under par? I do think so. Thank you Therese, always enjoy this series â¤ï¸
I agree with the Christmas Spirit card, I have just the perfect male friend I was planning to send it to! Thanks so much Delia!
I love all the cards you made featuring sentiments, Therese. I have already used one idea for a card but I think I may need a background sentiment stamp.
The background sized sentiment makes it so quick and easy, especially if you are making multiples! Thanks so much Bobby!
Love all the ideas and those color combos are fabulous.
Thank you Lisa
Awesome cards! Love the big sentiments and such beautiful colour combos. I think I might try pink this year 😉
And why not pink, I agree that sounds like fun!
Oh my…so much fun. I love them all. I’m assuming the “oh what fun†stamp is retired, but do you know which company made it?
Hi there, the ‘Oh What Fun’ stamp set is new and was a freebie if you spent $75 at Ellen Hutson before the 17th October… crossed fingers they release it to their stamp line soon as I agree it’s wonderful! You could email the store and see if they have any left or plan to release it?? Hope this is helpful. Crafty hugs Therese x
Really enjoyed watching you make these fabulous fun cars Therese. Thanks for the inspiration.
