Totally took this one out of left field, what started as a graphic design ended up with a cat in it…. go figure. You can see how this process panned out in my video.
I found a card today that I forgot to share, I remember something about wanting to wait til after her birthday, but that was on New Years Day… oops. Love love these sweet owls from from Art Impressions and they are perfect for my sister who has just a little ‘owl’ obsession. This is a little different to my normal style, but one I thought she’d like.
Things are a little wet here on the edge of Cyclone Marcia (which was a Category 5), and with more rain to come it’s time to craft. Especially because they have taken my husband away to help (he is a nurse as well) and where he’s gone there is no power, phones and it’s flooded, but apparently they have found some accommodation. It’s going to be a massive cleanup, but thankfully by some miracle no lives have been lost. I plan on keeping crafty busy so then I won’t have time to worry. Hugs,
Big things are happening at Muse this week, it’s their 100th challenge and Michele has her Designer debut card and it’s brilliant! I am so happy that I found a minute to make a card and join in the fun. I was inspired by her idea to ‘Accentuate the Negative’ but lucked out on the song lyrics….. I suppose I could have tried Happy Birthday to you, but I thought that was a little lame lol.
Here is Michele’s card… love the white on white look, mine’s just a little brighter.
I would also like to share this card with Darnell’s NBUS challenge as this is the first time I’ve used these fab balloon dies from Penny Black. Thanks for another great challenge Darnell!
I’m back tomorrow with another video for Scrapbook Boutique so I look forward to seeing you then.
I made these cards months ago as they were for a publication call with the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine, but I think they are my favourite Chrissy cards for this year. I really like the simplicity of the first and then the bokeh colours, well they kinda make me smile, especially with the shimmer of the sequins. I hope that today you find a smile and get to spend some time with some fun people and of course eat-a-plenty!
(For this call we had to make a card that had two versions one that was simple and easy to reproduce and a more complex version for special friends & family)
Hope you have a wonderful day, whatever it is that you are doing,
Today’s video is about using my paper stash, no hoarding allowed! This is such an easy card to make multiples of and a great way to use your scraps too. Just set up a little production line and even the kids could help! Love love love using those sweet papers… now, can I go and buy some more?
So so happy to be asked to join in the fun at CASE this Sketch, can you believe this is the 100th Sketch and they are having a party!
This team was an amazing turning point for me creatively, I just couldn’t ‘get’ sketches, for me it was always about the colour and now it’s about both! Although in saying that, I think I had too many ideas for Chrissy’s fabulous sketch and consequently I struggled with this one, you know how it goes… should’ve just stuck it in the first place I put it, not move it around for an hour first and then stick it in the original spot lol.
Congrats to you guys, this is one of my all time fave challenges and I know the next 100 sketches will be just as awesome!
I’m having a blast ‘not’ colouring…. who would’ve thought! Although it is taking some restraint on my behalf, but with Christmas just round the corner, I just don’t have enough time to colour all the chickens haha. No, truly this was planned as a line art card for my Christmas 2014 series Where has the Year Gone!
Are you ready for Christmas or are you starting to panic, don’t stress cause I have a card that is sooooo simple and you can make multiples in flash. Now, tell me does it get any easier than this? To be honest I felt like I was channeling my inner Ardyth, thanks for the inspiration!
I can’t wait to see how this inspires you!
All of the deets can be found here on the Muse blog…. but here’s how it works:
