Back with another fun technique Watercolouring Made Easy for Day 7 Creative Colouring. Now would you believe that I don’t own any watercolour paints at all so I compromised and used Distress Inks on my craft sheet, so it’s the same same but different.
Back in class again and now I have a Graffiti card for Backgrounds into the Foreground, I just love this technique and think it’s particularly good for those wonderfully challenging masculine designs.

Not my best card but this class is all about learning so I’m sharing it all (well most of it) and I know I can improve on this technique and already have some more ideas swimming in my head…. so watch this space lol.
I’m kinda stuck on Day 3 here, but loving it. My visitors have deserted me and now instead of cleaning the house after camping, working etc I am having some fun in my crafty space (wink). So today it’s another Optical Illusion and this one is masking, one of my fave techniques, I did do a little embellishing though and guess what? It’s gold, I know I know, but it’s addictive.
Hello – DetailHello
I say I’ll be back real soon with another Card Class installment so until then, have a great one!
Other Supplies: Prima Wood Veneer – Birds & Butterflies. Gold sequins.
It’s hard not to be inspired by someone as amazing as Charley Harper, his style and colour combinations are incredible and I just had to make my very own ‘Harper’ esque bird. My card had to be CAS as I wanted the bird as the focal point but I know that I will not be able to stop at creating just one of these…
A BIG thank you to our creator and fabulous 1st Anniversary MuseJackie Rockwell, Hugs to you GF! In Australia it is traditional to celebrate our 21st birthdays and one of my nephews celebrates his next month and I thought this design and colour scheme were just perfect.

You still have time to join in the fun so head on over to Muse.

How could you not be inspired by this!
I’ll have some more cards up real soon, hope you’re having a great week!
Back from a lovely weekend with my fam, and now it’s definitely time to hibernate just a little… or at least til the next party, I think that gives me maybe 2 weeks. With a bit of luck I may just find some mojo between now and then…
So until I do I have a publication share where I had some fun with the Bold Pop set from Hero Arts, fun sentiments from Paper Smooches and how cool are these design papers by Teresa Collins (not many pages left and hoarding).

Back with another video tutorial for Scrapbook Boutique and today I’m having some fun with Avery Elle. But I have gotta say, how cool are these Memento Luxe inks…. I’m just loving them (I may just have to collect them ALL lol).
I kept it simple for my Christmas card this year and I love the elegance of a silhouette, of course my ‘wish’ list is as long as the one this Santa is holding….. so cross my fingers lol. I made my card a little smaller and created my own ‘merry’ sentiment on my electronic die cutting machine, love that you can use any font and make it the exact size…. I really need to use my machine a lot more (I know my hubby would agree).

Wishing you all the absolute best holiday season, I’m looking forward to a day at the beach and eating heaps of great food today, see you on the flipside!
Oh my goodness, I must have pushed my paper around this card for hours. I started by making this fun panel of colour as I just loved the colours at CASE Study and then that was it. But it had to be finished… so I used Chrissy’s fab sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and shazam it was done…. then I added the birds lol. In my imagination this would make a great wedding card.

Who has time to make birthday cards this time of year??? Although to be honest I would not like to celebrate my birthday in the holiday season it’s so easily forgotten, luckily for me my birthday is conveniently in June, smack bang middle of the year. My only complaint is that it’s Winter and because I live in the sub tropics and am a ‘cold frog’ the al fresco dining leaves me cold, see I told you not really a complaint at all, at least nothing wine won’t fix lol.
It’s yet another thing I loved about living in the UK, my birthday was in Summer…. aaaaaaah. Where was I going with this, oh yes, quick and easy birthday cards for me this time of year for sure, sorry guys.
I can’t wait to see how this card inspires you!

Welcome back, today it’s my turn to play at Muse. This is reject…. I know, you’re thinking how on earth is that possible but it happens lol. Of course that means that it’s a card that I love, it’s funny how it works that way… the cards I love the most are often the least commented on or the rejects, C’est la vie!
I can’t wait to see how this card inspires you!

Today for my tutorial for Scrapbook Boutique Blog I have made a bright cheery ‘Speech Bubble’ card, I had lots of fun with Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and I also used a Heidi Swapp stencil. All the products that I’ve used are linked below or you can head over the Scrapbook Boutique and check it out for yourself!
Just got back from a wonderful week of camping…. not so sure how I’m going to hold up to night duty tonight though, maybe I should try and get some rest, but the washing needs to be done, everything unpacked, cat’s cuddled etc etc etc. Hope you have a great one!
Maybe I can dream that I have the style of one of these glamorous models at Runway Inspired Challenge and can put together an outfit as stunning as this (let alone look good in it too lol), but I’m afraid for me, I didn’t inherit that gene….. all I can say is I’m lucky I wear a uniform to work, I would have a melt down every morning if I had to actually choose what I had to wear.
Anyhoo I digress, I thought I would film while I made this card as I had a request to show how I made this card HERE.
Today I am having some fun and getting inky for Scrapbook Boutique! I’ve linked all of the products that I used below otherwise you can head on over to Scrapbook Boutique where they have a massive SALE on at the moment…. need I say more.
Back again with another video for Scrapbook Boutique. Today it’s a one layer card with lots of blending using those fabulous distress inks from Tim Holtz.
A quick share before the card excitement. I’ve just had some excitement myself, this (carpet python) just went through my back yard. I’m not a real fan of snakes even if they are non venomous like this one…. I just don’t like that it is now is the wood pile near my chicken coop…. hope my hubby gets home soon, this is definitely a ‘boy’ thing lol. Have a great weekend.
Another quick share, I should be sitting here making DT cards but I really wanted to play with Craft Dash #25 so I did (it’s only 10 minutes after all). I thought it was also the perfect opportunity to combine the Button It Challenge at A Blog Named Hero, where I haven’t had a chance to join in for yonks. Anyhoo I had the camera out so I decided to film as I went, hope you like it.

This month the challenge is Spring is in the Air and I just had to play with some fabulous stamps from Hero Arts & Flourishes.
Gotta say that this is not my fave colour combination and when I think about it maybe it’s the fact that my school uniform was dark green and bright yellow and I wore it for way too many years…. I don’t mind how this card turned out but you can’t love everything you make right, I’m thinking maybe in different colours?

I have a quick share today and with all the anticipation of my holidays, I can’t believe that I am already back to work. I did manage to get heaps achieved though and my house is a ‘little more’ Spring cleaned than a month ago. Sadly not a lot of card making time, but today I did have a spare hour where I managed to make a card for the current TAWS Be Inspired Challenge and Simon Says Stamp who are having fun with some Animal Antics.
