I’m catching up on my publication shares and this was a set of cards that I put together for the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine. Loving that warm grey…. and these HA inks stamped so beautifully, sigh!
Now I don’t mean actually getting out the grinder and ‘really’ altering your dies but sometimes it is possible to adapt them to get the look that you are after. Such as making the cut longer or wider… so many possibilities.
Now, I used a dark background (so it would be easier to see the result) but after looking at the card I was thinking maybe I could have gone with my original plan and used a white background…… What do you think?
I’m back again tomorrow, twice, so I’ll see you then and again!

I’m so excited to be sharing with you another video mini series starting today. I’ve decided to focus on Die Cutting as it has sooo many fun and versatile techniques, and lets face it, we have invested in them so we might as well use them! I thought I would start off easy with this cute Lil’ Monster from AnnaBelle Stamps and his matching die.
Well…. I’m using an Epic stamp set and die, does that count? What a fabulous masculine set from WPlus9, all the guess work it taken out of it, mix and match and have some fun, I love it! And look here, is that bling?
Yes this is my final Cards4Men design and I’ve had a blast creating this mini series and with a bit of luck will be back soon with some more. Til then,
Back with a wonderful over the edge technique that I love from Laura. I thought it would be fun to try and get some bold colour with watercolours, of course I had to add just a little sparkle in the flower centres but otherwise I kept it pretty clean & simple.

Back to class for me!
ps if you are looking to find where I used the patterned paper on my bookmark it’s covering the back.
Other Supplies: Watercolour Paints. Hole Punch. Black Diamond Stickles.
Today I found a few minutes to try Laura’s ombre background technique. I adore gingham, especially on baby cards so thought that the ombre style would be perfect especially with this fab onesie die cut from Paper Smooches.

Have a great weekend, I’m sure to be back real soon!
Welcome to my mini series Cards4Men! I’m so excited to finally have some ‘me’ time to create this as it was on my to do list this year and guess what, it’s July already, go figure. So I went to my card stash the other day and I really had no masculine cards to speak of so, opportunity seized and voila a card mini series was born.
When it comes to Cards4Men here are a few basic tips that work for me…
keep it simple
make it bold & bright
use graphic design
humour (they love this)
and keep it simple
use dedicated masculine stamp sets
use plain fonts
avoid bling, lace & ribbon (usually)
and did I say keep it simple
I thought I would start with a fun card using some Super stamps from Paper Smooches, these images can be used for men young and old, and they are fun to boot!
Today it’s time for Christmas in July at AnnaBelle Stamps and the best thing is you have the chance to SAVE 30% off all Christmas stamps this month, WOW! I decided to play with some of the newer sets that really have the most amazing fonts and images,. I decided to keep it clean & simple and I thought why not make it Black & White (with just a smidge of silver), this card came together soooo quickly it would be a great one to mass produce!

Oh my, this card was a marathon event and for some reason I decided to video as I created (doh, what was I thinking) …. anyhow you get the edited version lol. It was made to order… an 80th birthday card for an overseas Uncle using an Australian theme.
It’s time for a new sketch challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps and I kept this one real clean and simple. I just had to play with the Scribble Scrabble sets again and used a few pencils to help with the shading, so easy!

It’s time for a new sketch challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps and this one is gorgeous! I was inspired by this fabulous card by Maile Belles using her divided panels tip and it wasn’t until I finished the card that I realized I had flipped the sketch lol.
