I saw the current funtabulous challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps and just had to join in. I was inspired by the colours and of course the polka dots (who isn’t…) I thought I would film as I went along.
I have a quick share today, I combined a few fun challenges to create this card and it looks absolutely nothing like the original plan…. it started out as a birthday cake but that’s a long story so I won’t bore you with the details lol.
Another Texture Effect today and it’s embossing with glitter, such a fun technique and a great way to enjoy a glittery day, because if you are anything like me then there will be glitter glitter everywhere!
Friend for Life – DetailFriend for Life
Sorry about the less than optimal photography but it’s the dullest day in history here (pouring rain… perfect card making weather really) and I want to share this before the gallery closes in the OCC. Thanks for stopping by.
Other Supplies: Copcs B02. Cardstock – SBB – Powder.
Back with some more Textural Effects and this time it ‘s embossing paste. I do love the look of the Inka Gold used as an embossing paste although I found that I had to add a little water as it was too ‘thick’ for those little stars, once I did that it was all fine.
Today I started working on Textural Effects and thought I would try out Dry Embossing first, what a great one layer twist on this technique and even better I get to use some of those embossing folders that have been just a little neglected lately.

I can always use some baby cards in my stash, I hardly ever make them…. or wedding cards, sympathy…. well I’m sure you get what I mean lol. Anyhoo, more online class Creative Colouring and this time it’s Simple Copic Colouring.

Thanks for stopping by, I know I’ve been a bit in your face, but to be honest I’m so loving these classes!
Back with another fun technique Watercolouring Made Easy for Day 7 Creative Colouring. Now would you believe that I don’t own any watercolour paints at all so I compromised and used Distress Inks on my craft sheet, so it’s the same same but different.
Back in class again and now I have a Graffiti card for Backgrounds into the Foreground, I just love this technique and think it’s particularly good for those wonderfully challenging masculine designs.
21 – Detail21
Not my best card but this class is all about learning so I’m sharing it all (well most of it) and I know I can improve on this technique and already have some more ideas swimming in my head…. so watch this space lol.
Today I’m focusing on Creative Coloring and using Tasnim’s fab technique of tracing images. So out came my Hero Arts background stamp and I dug around and eventually found a gold gel pen, what fun!

I’d like to share this card at CASE Study, Joni’s card is stunning and I was inspired by the flowers and colours and how the sentiment just popped. Also Simon Says is having a Glitter It challenge which of course is perfect for flowers.
See you soon!
Other Supplies: Copics – G24,40,99. RV17,19. YG11. BV00,02,08. Gold Gel Pen.
I’m kinda stuck on Day 3 here, but loving it. My visitors have deserted me and now instead of cleaning the house after camping, working etc I am having some fun in my crafty space (wink). So today it’s another Optical Illusion and this one is masking, one of my fave techniques, I did do a little embellishing though and guess what? It’s gold, I know I know, but it’s addictive.
Hello – DetailHello
I say I’ll be back real soon with another Card Class installment so until then, have a great one!
Other Supplies: Prima Wood Veneer – Birds & Butterflies. Gold sequins.
Back with a quick card that I made using the Stamp Layering technique. How cool is this class, I can’t wait to see what everyone else it up to! I’d better get back to camping…… lol.
Best Things – DetailBest ThingsThe sunrise this morning!
Well class is still on and now it’s Optical Illusions and today I thought I would start with Scenic Stamping. I promise I really did try and make it ‘more water coloury’ but it just wasn’t going to happen, I think it’s the branches are so dark that I had to add more colour to my girl so she didn’t get lost… now we wouldn’t want that now would we?
For You – DetailFor You
Hope you are having as much fun on this course as I am, I’ll be back again real soon.
Back again with another faux technique and this is one of my faves… faux metal. I kept it simple, it’s a Clean & Simple class right, so what else would I do. I kinda thought this would make a sweet Christmas card, love these colours together.
With Love – DetailWith Love
Can’t wait to see what everyone else has been up to.
Other Supplies: Carl circle punch – CP-1. Copics – T0. Heat it Up – Silver Embossing Powder.
I’m so excited to be taking part in the newest Clean & Simple Online Card Class, and there’s been so many ideas floating around my head after watching the lessons, this is just what the mojo needed, thanks so much ladies!
I’ve made a couple of cards using the Inlaid Die Technique which always looks so cool.
Bloomed – DetailBloomed
Now here is my first attempt which I am not so happy with, I’m not sure why cause I really like the concept, I just think I could have done it better lol. But this is a class and it’s all about the learning so I thought I would share it anyway.
xo – Detailxo
That’s it for now, I’m off to try out some more faux techniques… Would you believe that we are heading off camping this weekend and I’ve got my brother and his wife visiting next week…. hopefully I can find some class time around all the fun! Hugs,
Other Supplies: Cardstock – Linen, Grapefruit, Peach, Pool, Java. Copics – E50. T0. Black Rhinestones. Prima – Arco Iris Flowers.
This gorgeous challenge at Runway screamed elegance to me, so go figure why I decided to make a masculine birthday design, might have something to do with the fact that it’s my hubby’s birthday today and also that I came across this awesome Ferro Effect Paste (that I had ‘ahem’ purchased but not used yet), doesn’t it look all metallic and glittery.
Masculine Birthday – DetailMasculine Birthday
Better go now, I know I know, so many products, so little time lol.
Other Supplies: Ferro Special Effect Paste – Graphite.

It’s hard not to be inspired by someone as amazing as Charley Harper, his style and colour combinations are incredible and I just had to make my very own ‘Harper’ esque bird. My card had to be CAS as I wanted the bird as the focal point but I know that I will not be able to stop at creating just one of these…
