Here today for Scrapbook Boutique and I gotta say that I didn’t want to make another Christmas card right now, so I thought it would be fun to get out my Altenew stamps (YES! Scrapbook Boutique now stock Altenew stamps right here in Australia!) and my Kuretake’s and had a play.

Back today for Scrapbook Boutique and I’m practicing with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints again, and I gotta say that I am definitely having fun now! Has anyone else noticed that there always seems to be a moment when you are watercolouring where you look at the project and think… nah, it’s for the bin, but then there is also a ‘turning point’ where it all seems to come together, it’s so weird…..

Sitting here all chuffed with myself as my tags are made, you see, every year my husband gives gifts to all the staff that have to work on Christmas day and I usually find out that “I” have to make the tags about…. the 24th December lol. Just loved the bold colours of this challenge and I couldn’t resist adding a little bit of gold (again right, I know).

Playing at Scrapbook Boutique today and these Faber Castell Gelatos have mammoth colour and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like to get her fingers dirty…. I’m so in the wrong job and so have the wrong hobby lol! I’ve been on the fence for a while about Gelatos, and finally took the plunge, there are so many fun techniques and I can’t wait to try some more (with gloves?)!

I liked the bold colours and the simple funky designs so I used MFT’s Modern Blooms again… and a new scripty die from Lawn Fawn. You could even use this design for a Chrissy card if you are feeling the ‘bold’ness.

I had a little trouble photographing this little number so here is a close up of how I used the acetate to add the centre of the sentiment on my popped up panel.

Back with another Super hero themed card today, this time for Scrapbook Boutique Blog and I have this hilarious image from Stampingbella, she just cracks me up! But it was one of those days when I just couldn’t work out where I was going with the card, although eventually I got there in the end. You can watch the process because I filmed as I created.
Loving the Luxe, it’s so creamy and it’s actually quite different to other pastes as it seems to sit lower on the cardstock… almost like a foil (but easier). This card is for Scrapbook Boutique and I created a video so you can watch how it came about.

I’m pretty sure this one started with the rosettes and it just all got a bit modern from there. I’m not sold on the blending in the background, but it’s there now and I don’t detest it (otherwise it would have been for the bin lol), but I do adore the colour of the Platinum Stickles!

I absolutely do not know where this card came from… initially it was something about the shape of the cupcake and the gnome hat and then I think the colours came in and somehow the ‘dig it’ theme… and don’t even ask about why a vege garden lol.
