I decided to play with my new Zig watercolours when I saw this Adore You flower set released.  I don’t have a video of this specific card to share, but did recreate it by request.

The best thing about creating a One Layer Card (other than the challenge of creating exactly what you want in only one layer) is that it is easy to post and with crossed fingers it will arrive at it’s final destination in one piece and without any extra postage cost.

Today’s card is all about bringing the ‘inside out’  which was the call from the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine and with these fabulous dies and stamps created by Julie Ebersole this card came together very easily.

It was just a little difficult to photograph, but I’m sure you get the picture.  I’ve been practicing and think that my photography has improved as this was taken quite a while ago now.  But my nephew arrives tomorrow and I’m going to pick his brains (he’s an amazing photographer)!  Hugs and happy day!

One of the most beautiful ‘flowers’ ever and so perfect on a Christmas card, especially in ‘gold’.  Our Poinsettias have just finished flowering as we are now heading into Spring / Summer here, but they do add such a brightness to the garden, actually I have a memory that they are not flowers but that they are coloured leaves?  Do you know, or did I dream that?  Oh, and I also decided to film as I coloured.

I’ve had a few questions about how to use the ‘photo image’ style stamps from Penny Black and today I have a quick and easy idea!  I decided to film as I created so you can watch the process.

Well, I just got home from a family holiday celebrating my brother’s birthday and have been on an island and ‘tech-free’ for what seems like forever.  I had the most fabulous time and after two days home I have only just finished all the washing…  and now I’m back at work and on night duty…  But not before noticing that MFT were having another Card Design Superstar Contest and that was it, I just had to make at least one card to celebrate their wonderfulness.

This card is a little different for me, it has a few more layers than usual, but it just kind of felt right when I was making it so I just went with it.  This was published by the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine where the call was cards for a special occasion.

And…  just in case you are missing me…  I’m on holidays with my family at the moment, 4WD’ing on the World heritage listed Fraser Island, so no doubt I’ll be out on a beach in the sun somewhere for sure.
