I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2017 January release and blog hop, and if you arrived here from Jennifer McGuire’s amazing blog then you are exactly where you need to be. Today we will be releasing 18 stamp sets, 18 die sets and 12 inks!
Today I have made three quite different cards from this amazing release starting with this sympathy card using the Be a Lighthouse stamp set. It’s hard to tell, but I’ve popped up the whole front panel so it looks like the Dark Gray cardstock is inset.
My second card is a little more modern, using the fab silhouette girl and matching die from Let the Wind Carry You. I’m still trying to work out if she’s holding a torch or a paintbrush… so I’ll let you decide. I also used some of the new colours from the release, bright greens, oranges and cool grays, it is a dream come true!
In true Altenew style the flowers from this release are amazing! So for my final card I combined two sets together to create this sweet vase. I used Smile More and Life is Beautiful along with some Altenew Artist Marker alcohol colouring (they are so beautiful to colour with… I can’t wait for Altenew to make markers in all their ink colours, hint)

I’m so excited to be taking part in Altenew’s 2016 July release and blog hop, and if you arrived here from Laura Bassen’s blog then you are exactly where you need to be. Today we will be releasing 16 stamp sets, some new papers and washi tape! I had so much fun with these new stamp sets, I can’t wait to play some more.
Here is my first card for today (the video link is below),
Time for a CAS tone on tone background using those fabulous gray inks and the pale gray cardstock from Altenew. Then it was time for a bright stamp layered Tulip from this gorgeous new set and the sentiment was taken from Birch Land.
I decided to film as I created this card to show just how it came together.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.

And now, my second and brightest card for this release. I decided to use the Celebrations stamp set to create a fun wedding card. It was time to do some paper piecing and I decided to use one of my all time fave colour combos – bright orange and hot pink, now who wouldn’t love this?
And for my final card I used the Happy Mail set to create this clean and simple design. Just a little bit of sneaky masking, colour added with Prismacolor Pencils and my panel sitting up on a piece of (hoarded) Cherry Wood specialty paper, this card came together very quickly.

For my first card I chose to use the Beautiful Day stamp set and these flowers make me sooo happy…. swoon, honestly one of my most fave flower sets ever, thank you Altenew! I added an embossed sentiment from the Sohcahtoa set, which is another ‘well loved’ set for me. I actually made this card for the hop and then thought I might as well make it again and film as I created so that you could watch the process.

And I couldn’t stop at one card so I decided to use one of the new mini stamp sets. This is the Peach Tree and it has all the wonderful layered stamp goodness of Altenew. I kept it fairly CAS and Prismacolor penciled in some backgrounds to create a masculine design.

Today I have a video for Scrapbook Boutique and I had some requests to show how I made this card HERE , so I’m using some different products but basically getting the same look. I thought it would also be a nice idea to change up the colour of the bird, maybe a teal green / blue or even a green would look nice, what do you think?

Still very little crafty time around here, hoping to be back on track in a few weeks… Oh, that sounds so far away lol.
Other Supplies: YG93,95. YR00,12.
Luckily for me, this card is being made for the sake of it, rather than for an ‘occasion’, it’s so much easier. This is the ultimate of CAS, but with sympathy cards that’s the way I usually like to go. Anyhoo, I used both the cat image and the border from the Penny Black feLINE die to create this , really a very very easy card to create.
I’ve linked all the products below or you can head over to Penny Black. Hugs,
Other Supplies:
Does it get any easier than this…. the biggest decision I had to make on this card was whether to use sprinkles, dew drops and/or sequins, so for a fast and easy card, you could change up which flowers or sentiments used or even make a set using different coloured cardstock, so easy and pretty.
You can find all these Penny Black products listed below or head over HERE, I also know that Evelyn has these at Scrapbook Boutique for us Aussies, Yay!
Other Supplies: Prismacolor Pencils – White, Light Aqua. Cardstock – Bazzill Turquoise Mist.
